Wild Animals Flip Book!

Good morning!

A few days ago, I showed a Flip book made with Stampin Up's Simply Scrapping kit. Today, I thought I'd share with you one of the same books made with DCWV patterned paper (Nana's Nursery Boy) and embellished with Gina and Melanie's animal stamps.

The book is completely finished and just waiting for photos to be placed on all the photo mats. I love giving these books out at baby gifts - all the new mom has to do is, is trim her photo to 4x5.24 and adhere them to the photo mat.

The white scallop hearts are for journaling and are only glued on half of the heart, so that you can tuck the photo behind it.

Project Details: Just so Hippy, Just so Hoppy, Hip Hop Accessories, Owl Always love you; Down on the Farm; Poultry in Motion; Spring Holidays; Just Keep Swimming; Bazzil Textured cardstocks; DCWV Nana's nursery; SU ww; ribbons; Scor Pal; Liquid Applique; Glitter; Koh-i-noor pencils; OMS; blending stumps; Peerless watercolors; Marvy giga & mega punches; paper piercer; crystal effects; Queen & Co. brads & flowers; EK success corner rounder

Have a great day!

Simply Scrapping Flip Book

Tomorrow I'm teaching another session of my most popular class at Gina's store - my version of the Flip Book. I have had so much fun teaching many ladies over the past few months how to make these books. They look intimidating, but they are really easy to put together and super fun to embellish!

I have to apologize for the photos... these are so hard to take photos of!

I thought I'd share a few photos of one I made a few months back with my mom and my sister. We used last year's Stampin Up's Sellabration Scrappin Kit. Their scrappin kits are so perfect to use to make & decorate these little books.

Some views of the book as it is being opened... No space is left un-embellished with stickers! More is always better, I say!

This is the completely open view. There are 3 hidden panels behind the flaps.

Below is the far left hidden panel opened for you to see...

As you can see, I haven't put photos or journaling in yet. This is just one of several books that I've made to show my students the versatility of mini scrapbooks. Mini scrapbooks are my absolute favorite things to make and give as gifts. And, as popular as this class has been many people must agree!

If you would like the instructions for my Flip Book, contact me with your email address and I'd love to send them off to you. I don't know how to add a file to my blog yet, hopefully soon I'll figure this all out! I'm such a novice at this blog stuff.

I'd also like to thank two of my friends for helping me with these books.

Sharri Seffens saw the pattern somewhere online and began to put one together. She brought it to me to show me one day while I was working at Gina's store. I was so excited when I saw it that I had to make one. When I saw how easy they were to put together and how fun they were to embellish, I was hooked!

Then, Rupa Shevde took my class and volunteered to type the directions for me to give out to my students. She went the extra mile (like she always does!) and even made diagrams to help everyone visually see how it is put together. I'm so thankful she took the time to do that for me.

Have a great night!

Jessica
