TCM: Dream Catcher

Good morning!

Today is the final day of The Craft's Meow August release previews.  We are showcasing the new free with $60 stamp set (also available for purchase) called Dream Catcher, illustrated by Clare Brennan.  I'm telling you - Clare has been busy with this release designing some amazing stamp sets for us, hasn't she!

This new Dream Catcher stamp set is such a fun one to play with - my daughter Ashley loved helping me build our dream catcher my cards for today.  For my first card, I wanted it to be soft and a bit elegant, so I stamped everything in black Versafine ink, let it dry a bit and then added a bit of shading with a soft neutral Copic marker (I think I used a W2, but can't remember right now).  Some Copper stickles to a couple of the beads in the image, some copper twine and a bit of stitching was all I added to finish the card.  Another quick and easy card, letting the stamps do all the work!

My second card was made with my daughter's help and instruction.  She told me where to stamp the elements and then colored them with some glitter pens.  She smudged the inks a bit, so I went with it and added some ink splatters from my marker blow pen and soft stone ink around the edges to 'hide' them a bit.
Love her design and how she colored the feathers with a couple of different glitter pens... so fun!

My last card for today uses just a couple of the feathers with the 'hello' sentiment.  I thought the feathers and the sentiment look a bit like old fashioned quill inked words, so I added a few swirls and doodles to the focal image.  I did some messy coloring with a Distress marker, trying to pull some 'messy' inspiration from my daughter.

To see all the other designer's projects with today's stamp set, please hop over to The Craft's Meow store blog for all the photos and links.  Be sure to leave a comment there for your chance to win one the sets for yourself!

See you tomorrow with more new TCM goodness!

What a blessing to be able to work with your daughter, Jessica :-) All your cards are beautiful, but I really like the first one.
