SNSS: God Is...

Good morning!

Welcome to Day 4 of the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps August release blog hop event!  Today, is a fun day because we are featuring the beautiful stamp set called God Is illustrated by Dina Kowl.  I love Dina's silhouette stamp set collection and love the images she's included in this latest set.  Dina always picks the perfect sentiments to go with her sets too - and once again, she's hit it out of the ballpark with these ones!  LOVE!

For my first card, I die cut one of the new Bookmark dies from the Bookmarks & More die collection and stamped the little drummer boy onto it with Versafine ink.  I did a bit of shading with distress inks to the bookmark and then added a couple of layers of grass using the Fence & Gate die set.  The sentiment was stamped on one of the frames from the bookmarks & more die collection and shaded with distress inks.  The decorative strip along the bottom is from the new Decorative Frames stamp set.

My second card is one of my favorites from this release - I'm sorry I didn't get a better photo of it.  I stamped the swinging child image on patterned paper and then tried to create a bit of a 'scene' by die cutting a fence from the Grass & Fence die set.  The sentiment was stamped on another decorative plaque with the coordinating decorate frame image.  Clean and Simple in design because I wanted the sentiment and the image to take center stage.

Here's more information about today's featured stamp set from Korin:

Jessica,
Both cards are just fabulous today. Love that little bit of grass on the first card. It gives the little drummer boy a nice anchor.

Your second card is my personal favorite. I love bitty polka dots *sigh* And the fence and those little millenary flowers - oooing and aahing was heard this morning when I opened your blog (she smiles). Love them both!

Wonderful cards! Love how you used the bookmark die as your image panel and how the boy is marching in the grass! The second card looks great with the boy swinging and the fence die, love the stitching! TFS

Two super sweet cards!! I love how you used the dies to create scenes on both of them, specially the grass with the little drummer boy.
