The Twinery "Rockin' It with Twine" blog hop event!

Hi there!

I'm joining the designers from The Twinery and Ruby Rock-It for the second day of our cross-promotion blog hop event!  If you missed yesterday's fabulous projects, you can see them right HERE along with all the information for the give-away going on with our hop!

If you've been following along on today's hop, you should have arrived from the Ruby Rock-It blog.  If not, pop over to The Twinery's blog which is the beginning of the hop and check out all the links, photos and information about the festivities!

I was sent the Carnival King paper collection to design with - and what a huge collection of fun summery goodness that package contained!  I sat down and made several cards to share with you today and barely touched all the elements.  While I haven't joined the Project Life bandwagon yet, I think I may need to get some photos developed so I can scrapbook with it too, I believe!

(Good news!  This pack is part of the giveaway!)

Since I'm not a huge scrapbooker right now, I thought it would be fun to show how wonderful this kit can be to created quick and easy cards using the elements from the kit - stickers, borders, die cuts, 3x4 and 4x6 journaling cards, banners, etc.

So, let's get started with my projects for today!

For my first card, I added some glitter to the white stripes on this fun 'amusing' card and then wrapped some black shimmer twine around it.  After rounding the corners, I added it to the card front and embellished with a clip  and a couple of stickers also included in the kit.

My next card is pretty busy with lots of elements from the kit.  The card itself is a card in the kit (4x6) that I embellished and used as a full card front.  I added the twines around the border and the label - Maraschino, solid maraschino, and caribbean.

After I glued the twine down, I sprinkled some glitter over the entire project.  It stuck to the glue and twine just the way I wanted it to.  Then, I added some die cuts, stickers, and even the 'celebrate' flag, tucking the toothpick behind the ticket die cut.

Next, I embellished a tag to go on a gift bag.  Once again, I used one of the 3x4 cards from the kit and just used some stickers and border die cuts to embellish it.  Lots of twines for the tag topper - solid maraschino, black shimmer, and marigold.

My last card uses Caribbean twine wrapped around the top of the fabric banner border along with a journaling card that I decorated for a birthday card.  I added some glitter to the bottom blue strip for some added sparkle.

Now for the fun stuff - the giveaways from both companies!
