SNSS: Delightful Doilies & Faith

Good morning!

Welcome back to another day of Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps July release blog hops!  Today we are showcasing two of our new stamp set on our blogs today: Faith and Delicate Doilies.

I used a sentiment from the Faith stamp set along with an image from the new Cocoa's Get Well Wishes too, since I thought sweet Cocoa was hiding and looking a bit afraid under that huge bandaid.  I have a friend who recently has had an enormously big medical issue/trial to deal with and thought of her when I made this card.  I'll probably be seeing her this weekend, so I may have to give it to her then.  She's been so brave - and I know it's because of her faith in her Savior that she's been so strong.

I went with lots of pinks on this card but kept the embellishments to a minimum, choosing only to have some sewing and a taffeta ribbon as my embellishment.  I wanted the image and sentiment to take center stage.

The "praying for you' sentiment is also from Cocoa's Get Well Wishes.

My next card was made using the new Delightful Doilies stamp set.  I shared another card I made with this set yesterday.  I used the same technique I did on my Celebrate Today flowers that I shared yesterday too, I stamped the doilies in versamark ink and rubbed a variety of shimmer chalks over the ink for a soft subtle shine.

Then, I stamped the sentiment and ran the entire panel through my embossing machine with an impression plate for a subtle background.  To finish the card off, I added some clear rhinestones and shaded the edges of the card front with coordinating orange and pink chalk inks.

Here's the details about today's stamp sets from Korin:

  • Stamp set includes 6 images and 3 sentiments
  • Set measures approximately 8" x 6"
  • The largest doily measures approximately
  • Designed by Dina Kowal
  • Priced at $26
  • Stamp set includes 7 sentiments
  • Set measures approximately 4" x 4"
  • Designed by Korin Sutherland
  • Priced at $11
Check out some of the fabulous samples made by our talented DT in the thumbnails below.

Be sure to leave a comment of each of the blogs along your journey because we're giving away 1 of these sets to two lucky winners!

The deadline to comment for a chance to win is midnight EST Friday, July 19th.  The list of winners will be announced on our website homepage by Monday, July 22nd.

Thanks so much for joining us!  Enjoy the hop!

Very pretty cards! The cocoa card is adorable with that image, love your selection of papers. The bow & stitching look great for min. embellis! Love your use of & coloring with the shimmer chalks on the doilies! Your edging with the orange almost looks like a layer of paper, very nice, subtle, pretty!

Love that chalk technique Jessica, and your cards using it are stunning. The Cocoa card is so sweet too, not only beautifully designed and made, but I love that quote.
