The Twinery: Teacher Appreciation

Good morning!

This week, The Twinery asked their designers to come up with some gift ideas for teachers for Teacher Appreciation week.

My teacher appreciation gift is for my son's speech class teacher and my friend Leah Stevens.

Here's a couple of photos after one of the performances of their school play last week...

Isaiah and Miss Stevens

The cast of "The Curious Savage"

They just finished a huge portion of their class project together by putting on the play called "The Curious Savage."  After all the work she did to help guide her students to such a successful conclusion to their class together this year, she is very much due a huge thank you for her faith and work in her students' lives.

This certainly isn't much, but I know she will appreciate the thought behind it - as I KNOW she could use some rest and relaxation after all the stress of last week.  I pulled out the Orchid twine and wrapped around the pre-packaged bath products and embellished just a bit with a heart border die cut and flower.

My card isn't a traditional thank you card, but we spent much time together this winter talking and praying together for her students.  I used the beautiful Sweet 'n Sassy Stamp set called Melody of Love for the image and the Be Encouraged set for the sentiment.

After the two play performances last week, we both know with certainty how true this sentiment is and how fitting it is for her thank you card.

As you can see from the photo, I used the orchid and shore twines to match the birds and flowers in the image.  Such a simple treatment to wrap around the card, but it makes a nice impact.

Have a wonderful day!
Jessica

What a beautiful gift and card - love the colours you have picked up and used from the gift, and then in the twines.
Blessings
