Today begins The Craft's Meow May release previews of the designers' blogs. We'll be sharing projects daily leading up to the stamps being available for purchase on May 21st.
Today's stamp set being featured is called Beautiful Hymns 2 illustrated by Nina Brackett.
I paired it with another new stamp set being released this month called Side by Side - more on that fun stamp set in a few days.
I thought the flowers went well with this fun floral patterned paper from My Mind's Eye. I stamped the sentiment and flowers on a notebook die cut, rounded the edges, and shaded with some Color Box chalk brown ink. The Marigold twine helped brighten up the card and ties back to the flowers quite well.
My second card uses the floral flourish element in the Beautiful Hymns 2 stamp set which I embellished a bit with some small Wild Orchid roses. These patterned papers from My Mind's Eye are pretty busy, so I used a white doily and a basic white tag die for the focal point. I loved how well the Seaweed Twine matched the greens and softened the card a bit.
I love the songs that Nina included in this stamp set as well as her first Beautiful Hymns set! Such a great idea and perfect for lots of occasions, I think.
