TCM: Friendship Blog Hop - 'just for you'

Welcome to The Craft's Meow monthly blog hop!

If you've arrived on my blog from Jennifer's blog, than you are right on track for today's hop!  If not, start at the beginning so you won't miss out on any of the inspiration today!

This month's theme is all about Friendship.  I used three stamp sets on my three cards for today's hop: Valentine Wishes, Simply Delightful, and Thanks Bee to Thee.

My first card uses a flower and sentiment from Simply Delightful as well as the leaf image from Fruity for You.    (the cloud embossing folder and scallop stitched embossing folder are from Stampin Up)

The hexagon backgrounds are from Thanks Bee to Thee.  I colored the sweet girl from Valentine Wishes with colored pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirits.  For a bit more whimsy, I added polka dots and little dots to her dress as well as a cuff to her jeans.  The little orange hearts are also from the Valentine Wishes stamp set.  The sentiment is once again from Simply Delightful.

(the embossing strip backgrounds is from two different Stampin Up embossing folders
the twine is The Twinery's Denim and the rhinestone flourish is from Want 2 Scrap)

My last card uses another image from Valentine Wishes - this time watercolored with Distress markers.  I added diamond stickles to the balloons.  I added the little girl to a shipping tag with another sentiment from the Simply Delightful stamp set.  To embellish the tag a bit, I added some dots and 'stitch' lines around the edge, adding a hand drawn little 'bow' here and there.

(the twine is The Twinery's Denim; the embossing strip is a SU folder;
Patterned paper is from PaperTrey Ink and My Mind's Eye)

Next up on today's hop is the fabulous Lin!

Happy Hopping!
Jessica

Love your bright bold colours on the first two cards, and the dp on the third reminds me of the fabric I sewed into a dress for my daughter ever so long ago!!

Love those embossed strips! They add just the right touch to these cards. Both cards are very sweet. I guess what I find really cool is that both of them have so many interesting elements to look at. Neither of these are the kinds of cards you just say cute to and then put away. Well done!
