Today's theme for The Craft's Meow April blog hop is to make a feminine card using any TCM stamp set that we want to. Be sure to check out TCM's store blog for all the other designers' samples. I choose to make a couple of cards with the sweet Lovely Birds stamp set illustrated by Nina.
My first card uses a K&Co. patterned tag from the Baby Girl tag pack (the same one you've been seeing quite a bit from on my blog lately) that had this little bird in the lower left edge of the tag. I stamped the tree limb and the bird feeder on the top of the tag and colored with Copics.
(Woodgrain impression plate; papers; border dies from PaperTrey Ink; Honeydew twine from The Twinery)
I added some flowers on the little birdies limb for added embellishment and added diamond stickles for sparkle. The pearl bling is from a pearl label from Want2Scrap.
My next card uses another patterned tag from the same pack and many of the same basic elements. This time I stamped the bird bath, birds, and sentiment in black versafine ink and added just a bit of shading with Copics. The leaf sprig is from Beautiful Hymns - which I embellished with rhinestones from Want2Scrap.
(Chicken Wire impression plate, papers, and border die are from PaperTrey Ink)
Once the card was assembled, I added the flowers from Want2Scrap and silver liquid pearls to the birds eyes. Then, I put just a bit of blue stickles to the bird bath and set aside to dry.
Thanks for checking in on me today!
