Good morning!
Sorry I've been so quiet here on my blog the past few weeks - Christmas preparations at home and school and being hit by a couple of nasty viruses pushed my blog to the back burner for some time. I hope you enjoyed your Christmas with your family and loved ones. I know I did - it was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable Christmases I can remember.
My card today uses a beautiful floral image from Sweet and Sassy Stamps' Poppies and Greetings stamp set. Oh how I adore Korin's floral and bird stamp sets - they are so beautiful and the sentiments she includes are so elegant and filled with Scripture.
I stamped the poppies image in Memento ink on PaperTrey Ink's white card stock and colored with Copics. Then, I tore around the entire image and ran it through my Big Shot using the aida cloth impression plate from PTI. To finish off the edges, I shaded them a bit with a light brown Colorbox chalk ink.
The sentiment is also from the same stamp set - I used a tiny label die cut from PTI and then shaded it a bit with the same light brown chalk ink.
Card Details
Stamps: Poppies and Greetings (SNSS)
Ink: Memento and Colorbox
Card stock: PTI solid; October Afternoon patterned
Other: PTI Impression plates: aida cloth and woodgrain; Copics; Black sharpie; SU fabric button; Twinery gold shimmer twine; sewing machine; PTI label die
I used PTI's woodgrain impression plate for the card front and stitched the patterned paper to it with my trusty sewing machine.
As a final touch, I added several rows of The Twinery's BEAUTIFUL new gold shimmer twine. Oh, how I love the new shimmer twines we have now! Have you seen them yet? Check them out here! You can pick up a sampler pack of them too - 15 yards each, if you don't know if you want the whole roll.
Now, before I go I have to make sure you heard about Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps' big end of the year sale going on now. 15% off the entire store - no coupon code necessary!
Have a great rest of your day and thanks so much for checking in on me today!

This is beautiful Jessica! Love the bright.clear colours you have used to colour the poppies, and the contrast of the soft edges.
Blessings
