SNSS August Release blog hop

Good morning!

Welcome to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps' August release blog hop!  If you've arrived on my blog from Monika's blog, you are right on track for our special hop.  If not, I encourage you to pop over at the SNSS company blog to start at the beginning so you don't miss out on any of the fun events of the day.  We're having a virtual stamp day over on SCS today just like we did last month too!  Check out all the details right HERE on SCS!

My first card uses the new free with $50 stamp set called Pumpkin Kitty - isn't she adorable?  I choose to paper piece the kitty and pumpkin, doing just a bit of shading with my Copics.  I trimmed her out and layered her onto a die cut that I stamped with the new wood grain border image Grunge Borders stamp set.  I am IN LOVE with this border stamp set - the wood grain and polka dots images especially!  I think the stamp made it look like real wood, don't you?

Card Details
Stamps: Pumpkin Kitty; Grunge Borders (SNSS)
Ink: Versafine
Cardstock: BoBunny patterned; SU textured
Other: lace; PTI mat stack dies; Basic Grey fabric brad and small brads; Copic markers; seam binding ribbon; white gel pen

My next card uses the new Script Sentiments and Leaf Silhouettes stamp sets.  I stamped the leaves in fall colors and trimmed around them, tucking them behind the sentiment.  I really like the size of these sentiments and the clean script font makes them so versatile.

Card Details
Stamps: Leaf Silhouettes, Script sentiments (SNSS)
Ink: Vivid
Card stock: BoBunny patterned; PTI solid
Other: Mandarin Twinery twine; Basic Grey buttons and brads; lace

Now, for the fun part!  Be sure to leave comments along the way for your chance to win a couple of the stamp sets from this release AND be sure to pop over to SCS and play along with as many of our challenges as you can to have more chances to win some new stamps!  I have a product challenge in the afternoon that I hope you'll be able to play along.

Next up on the hop is Cathy!  The full link list is below for your reference.
