Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps June Release blog Hop!

Good morning!

Welcome to Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps June release blog hop event!  Tonight, all the new stamps for June will be available for purchase right here!  We hope you'll be able to join us for the SCS Release party at 8pm EDT tonight too!  If you've arrived from the SNSS company blog you're right on track for today's hop!

Blog Hop PRIZE
One lucky commenter in our blog hop today will receive the entire June release!!!  We're not telling which blog the winner will be drawn from, so be sure to stop by each blog and leave a comment by 9:30pm EST tonight.  The winner will be announced toward the end of our release party tonight.

I was assigned to work with the new Kindness stamp set - aren't these flowers beautiful?  The best part - they come with matching dies!  I decided to make a simple card to show off how easy these flowers are to use.  I die cut the flowers in light yellow card stock and then stamped the coordinating flowers in light orange ink.  Then, I took a light yellow and orange Stampin Up marker (dye based) and drew thin lines from the centers to the middle of each flower.  To finish it off, I shaded 3/4 of the flower center with a darker Memento Potter's Clay marker.  Finally, I ran the finished flowers through my Big Shot using a texture impression plate for some subtle dimension and shaded the edges of the petals with a light yellow ink.

Sounds complicated, but was really quite quick and simple to do and I love the look of the flowers!

Very nice! I particularly like the card with the flowers. I was wondering how you did the slight impressions in the flowers -- I'm glad you explained. I had wondered if it was the paper you had used.
