The Twinery/Clearsnap Blog hop event!

(If you are looking for my Exquisite Embellishment blog post, please scroll down or click here.)

Good morning!

It's time for another blog post showcasing two fabulous company's products from The Twinery and Clearsnap!
(edited to add the last minute change - The two teams will be hopping together on Saturday instead of Friday as we were originally told - so no, you are not crazy seeing this same blog post two days in a row! lol!  I was at school all day and couldn't edit my post on Friday... so sorry for the confusion!)
For all the details, you can the Twinery blog.

Several designers from The Twinery are joining together in showing some inspiration with various twines from The Twinery as well as inks and a fun butterfly stamp set available through Clearsnap.  I Clearsnap's inks are great quality inks so was excited to work with their new Swell Colorbox Queue for all three of my projects today.

For my first card, I used the green, orange, and blue inks to create a sunset scene on a circle die cut, using the blending tool from Clearsnap to apply the ink.  After I finished playing with the blending, I stamped the flower silhouette image from Nature Silhouettes in black Versafine ink on the die cut.  I love that soft background that the inks provided!

Card Details
Stamps: Nature Silhouettes (SNSS)
Ink: Clearsnap inks for background; Black Versafine for image

Card stock: SU; DCWV patterned
Other: PTI mat stack 1 die; doily; Spellbinder circle die; button; shore twine from Twinery

For my next card, I decided to use the purple and blue inks in the color cube for a serene masculine thank you card.  I inked the music background stamp set in purple ink and stamped it on a blue die cut tag.  Then, I shaded around the tag and label die from PaperTrey Ink with both the blue and purple inks - blending the colors as I went.  Clearsnap inks blend beautifully together as you can see in my photo - love that!  The sentiment and bird image is from Nature Silhouettes.

Card Details
Stamps: Nature Silhouettes, Music background (SNSS)
Ink: Clearsnap (colored); Versafine black
Other: PTI tag & label die; PTI texture plate; shore and lilac Twine from The Twinery; Corner rounder

My last card uses Clearsnap's My first Colorbox Flutters stamp set along with all of the inks in the color cube.  First, I stamped the butterflies in Versamark ink on Ivory card stock and clear embossed.  Then, I rubbed the ink directly on the card stock, going from orange to yellow to blue to purple, overlapping and shading as I went along.  As I mentioned, the inks stay wet long enough to achieve some very nice blending.  I usually use glossy paper with this emboss resist technique but decided that I wanted a softer look, so I went with regular card stock.

I was thrilled to find 3 buttons in my stash that matched the inks and three twines from The Twinery perfectly!  I used these Twines for my projects for today's post:

Card details
Stamps: Butterfly (Clearsnap)

Ink: Clearsnap (colored); Versafine black
Card stock: SU; GKD
Other: Sewing machine; buttons; Twine from The Twinery - shore; lilac, and cantaloupe
