TCM May release day 2

Good morning!

Welcome back to the second day of previews for two new stamp sets that will be available for purchase on Monday, May 21 through The Craft's Meow.  To see all the designer's samples for today's stamp sets, please be sure to visit The Craft's Meow store blog and leave your comment there to be entered for a chance to win one of them!  My first card shows off the new Dads and Grads stamp set illustrated by Michelle Bertuzzi -Jiroken.

I stamped one of the sentiments in a row along one side of the white card stock and then layered a cut out sentiment rectangle over it for a bit of emphasis.  Even though it's a card for a dad, I added some scallops, seam binding ribbon, and a white rose because the man I'm married to likes flowers too! lol!  I will be saving this one to give to him for Father's Day this year, I believe.

Card Details
Stamps: Dads and Grads (TCM)
Ink: PTI green; Versamagic chalk brown

Card stock: SU white; PTI green
Other: MFT Scallop border die; seam binding ribbon, wild orchid rose; corner rounder

Next up is a graduation card that I made using several more images/sentiments from the new Grads & Dads stamp set illustrated by Kaitlyn Ord along with a frame from the new For my Dad stamp set.  I'm in the need of several graduation cards this year, so I was tickled to see this month's stamp sets!  This is a bit of a non-traditional scrappy card for me, but I think I like how it all evolved together.

Card Details
Stamps: Grads & Dads; For my Dad (TCM)
Ink: Stazon black; Versafine black; PTI colored
Card stock: SU & PTI colored; old school dictionary patterned
Other: shore Twine from The Twinery; MFT ribbon banner die; pinking scissors; button; star rhinestones

My last card today shows off a few more images from the For my Dad stamp set along with an awesome patterned paper sheet from the DCWV Natural mat stack... love all those patterns together!  I stamped the image and sentiment in black Versafine ink and added a copper nailhead to the center of the telephone.  This card was super quick and with that Tim Holtz embellishment (rather than a flower! lol!) it's probably a bit more guy friendly...

I hope you've been inspired by all the masculine themed cards I've shared today!   Masculine cards really can be difficult to make sometimes, can't they?

Remember to pop over to The Craft's Meow blog to view all the other projects everyone has prepared for today's hop... you're going to love how much of a variety you'll see with these 2 stamp sets!

Happy Hopping!
Jessica
