Welcome back to The Craft's Meow March Previews!
Today we are showing another new stamp set by Nina Brackett. This one is called Cherished and it's simply beautiful! You are going to LOVE the projects everyone has designed for it. You can see the designer's links on The Craft's Meow blog. Many of us used this photo as the inspiration for our projects:
We'd like to invite YOU to play along with us for this Inspiration challenge as well as the sketch challenge from yesterday. To celebrate our first birthday, there will be a couple more challenges during this week and we'd love to have you play along! If you are on Facebook, please 'like' TCM's page to receive a couple of beautiful free digital images designed by one of our new illustrators Karen Baker. I think Spring has arrived in Wisconsin... the birds are back, the grass is turning green, buds are on the trees... ahhh! My sinuses and allergies are in overdrive but I don't care - I LOVE spring. My card was inspired by the windows in the photo. One of my family's favorite thing to do is to watch the birds in our backyard through our large kitchen windows. Even though we live in town, we have quite a large yard that is edged by a protected 'wet land' of trees and bushes. We even have several deer that we see regularly (who even lay in the shade in our yard in the shade during the hot summer afternoons!) along with a large host of birds. It's such a treasure to see God's creation come to life after the cold, dead months of winter!
I paper pieced the large flower that is part of the large focal image. By checking out some of the other designer's cards, you'll be able to see that this is just part of the 4x4 main image. The sentiments Nina included are lovely as well - I really like this 3 word strip in the set and decided to use it as a border.
Thanks for stopping by to see my card today! Have a wonderful rest of your day!
Jessica

Your paper piecing is beautiful and I adore the gems in the centre of those blooms!

Such a sweet card! I love the papers you chose, the birds and gingham really brighten it up and the coloring on the flowers/leaves is great. Love it!
that is so adorable
WOW!! I LOVE the BEAUTIFUL card design!! THANKS for sharing and have a FABULOUS WEEKEND!! =)
I love the paper piecing of the flowers and the fact that you sized it down for your card! And what cute bird paper!
Beautiful card, Jessica. Thannk you for sharing about your kitchen windows - we may not have deer in our back yard, but we do have a good selection of native birds in our area of town.
Blessings

Beautiful, spring creation. ;)
Lovely card!
I think the weather we're having is more like mid-summer here in Northern Illinois, but I'll take it! TFS!
Lovely card. I really like the birds with the flower. Great way to convey the fun and feeling of spring.
