Sock Monkey Paper Pretties Preview

Hi there!

I'm so excited to be joining several of my Paper Pretties design team members in previewing this fun new stamp set called Sock MonkeyHere's the release information from Heather for your reference:

We will be releasing 4 brand new stamp sets which will be available in the Paper Pretties store on Wednesday 13th April. We will be previewing one set each day until release day.

One random lucky commenter (on the Paper Pretties blog) each preview day will win the set being previewed. The winners from each preview day will be posted here on Wednesday. As in previous months, we will still have a inspiration filled blog hop on release day.

  • Join us for our release Blog Hop this Wednesday 12 AM EST 13th April, starting on the Paper Pretties Blog.
  • New Release Stamps available in the Paper Pretties Boutique from 7AM EST Wednesday 12 AM EST13th April.
  • Don’t forget to check out the Paper Pretties Blog to see who else is previewing the new stamps today.

For my preview sample, I decided to go CAS (clean and simple) and stamp the image and sentiment in Stampin Up's Old Olive ink and put the card together with solid and retired patterned paper in the same shade to complete the look.  Kid's birthday cards need to be quick and relatively simple (at least in my experience) because they probably won't make it too long before getting ripped up or lost.  Horrors, I know - but true...   Adorable images like this sock monkey are so cute that they can stand alone, without needing to be colored, I think.  I added a little bow to dress him up a bit.
