Is it freezing in your part of the country tonight too? Today is the coldest day of the season so far, so I thought a bright cheerful card may cheer you up a bit! I'm working on samples to bring with me to CHA next week and decided to share one of my projects with you tonight. This is only a card front right now since it's a sample, so no inside view to share.
I used a couple of Layers of Color products on my sample: Belle Brocade Art stencil and the Floral Frame cling art stamp set which coordinates with Spellbinder's Label 16 dies. The sentiment is from the new Sent with Love stamp set - any sentiment from this set would work well with this image, I think. These are all such elegant products, aren't they?
While I was creating this card, I was thinking of how many different colored roses there are. I ended up making them yellow in honor of my mom since those are her favorite color of roses. I like yellow ones too, but am a bit partial to white ones myself. On my first date with my now husband, Brad gave me 3 white roses, so white roses always remind me of him. Now, when he buys me roses, he usually picks out peach, pink, or yellow/orange ones for me - we both love the pastel colored ones the best, I think.
I may have to make another card like this one for my parent's anniversary this summer... Summer seems so far away, doesn't it? But, the winter always makes me even more thankful for spring, so it's all good. lol!
Enjoy your weekend and keep warm!
