7 Kids College Fund Design Team Announcement!

Good evening!

This is my second post for today, so be sure to scroll down to see my post from earlier today.  I have another fun announcement to make:  I've been invited to join the 7 Kids College Fund Design team!  The 7 kids online store is my favorite one stop shopping site because of the H U G E variety of companies that Tab carries.  For my past several card kits that I've designed, while looking for an online store to link for the products I've used - I was amazed that practically EVERYTHING from papers to adhesives to copics to embellishments, Tab has them all on her site and she is often adding more lines to her web store.  Customer service is top notch and her prices are great too!  So, I'm beyond thrilled to be able to be part of not only a great company but an amazing design team too!

For our first challenge hop, we were asked to create a card with a theme of HOT or COLD - our choice.  Since I have had it already with the cold temps of winter, I was more than happy to pull out this adorable summer themed  Penny Black Teddy & Co. stamp set.  Wouldn't it be nice to sit in a field of wildflowers with butterflies flitting about with the big bright, WARM sun shining down on us right now...

Card Details
Stamps: Teddy & Company  (Penny Black)
Card stock: Copic X-press it cardstock, October Afternoon Seaside patterned paper;

Ink: Memento Black; SU Sage Shadow
Other: Basic Grey Cupcake buttons; PTI Felt; Copics - W00, W2, W1, W7, G20, G24, G29, Y19, YR09, YR15, B14, B18, R22, R27; Spellbinder dies: plain circleDahlia spellbinder dies

I wanted to make my own sun felt embellishment, so I die cut a spellbinder Dahlia die, and a plain circle die from some felt and then layered the pieces together, sewing a Basic Grey Cupcake button to the felt pieces to bind them all together.  I know it kind of looks like a great big flower over Mr. Teddy, but I was trying to go for a warm sun... so pretend with me, okay?  *wink*  Some bright cheerful October Afternoon Seaside papers were the inspiration for the Copics I used - love those blues together so much!

and the inside view, pretty basic but finished off -

We'd love to invite you to join us in our challenge this week!  Please check out the other designers' amazing samples as well as the rules for participating along with us right HERE on the 7Kids College Fund Challenge Blog.

I can't wait to see what you come up with for this HOT or COLD challenge!
