Tonight I've asked a few friends of GinaK Designs to join me in showcasing the current card kit stamp sets this month: Happy Spring. I can't wait to see everyone's samples - all the links are at the end of my post, so be sure to check those out!
My first card tonight shows a sentiment from the set paired with some Prima flowers and leaves - I just love this sentiment in the set...
Card Details
Stamps: Happy Spring
Cardstock: GinaK & Happy Spring patterned papers
Ink: Memento black & desert sand
Other: Prima flowers & leaves; Spellbinder's scallop tag dies; pearl brad; GinaK ribbon; embossing folder
My next card shows the flower pot stamped with the seed packets left out so that I could add some paper punched flowers. The flowers are Marvy punch-outs that I altered to make them a bit more 3D.
The flowers are actually 6 petals, but I cut a slit down one petal and glued two petals together. Then, I folded the petals back a bit and layered a smaller punch-out in the center. A button brad holds everything together...

I decided to use a thick layer of Crystal lacquer over both the gardening gloves as well as the sentiment to make them appear like epoxy stickers...
Using a variety of October Afternoon patterned papers, I made an 'eclectic' card that looks very 'scrappy' to me. This is one card that looks much better to me in person than on the computer screen... lol!
