Day 1 previews: March Release

(click on photo for a more detailed look)

Good evening!

Previews begin tonight for March's new stamp sets being released by GinaK Designs and I couldn't be more excited!  We have such a fun line-up of stamps to showcase this month that I honestly couldn't stop stamping and playing with them the past week.  (Last count I have already made 25 projects to share with the new stamp sets!!  That's the most ever for me!)  I decided to only share one card for each stamp set tonight so that I'd have plenty of new samples to share during the Release party on Thursday night and then on my blog throughout the entire next week ... even though I can't wait to share them all with you!

My first card was a labor of love and was made with three of Melanie Muenchinger's stamp sets: her brand new A Beautiful Life along with her Pressed Flowers and A Year of Flowers.  I absolutely adore how they all work so perfectly together!  She designed each of the images to be exactly the same size in all her floral sets just for that purpose - great job, Melanie!

I stamped the tulips from A Year of Flowers, shaded a bit with some Copic markers and then cut them out to be popped up and layered over the gorgeous tulip frame in A Beautiful Life...

Card Details (card size - 5 1/2" square)
Stamps: A Beautiful Life; A Year of Flowers; Pressed Flowers
Cardstock: GinaK white; DCWV patterned papers
Ink: Versafine black; memento; vivid
Other: Copic markers; detail clear embossing powder; corner rounder; stickles; black pen; tafetta ribbon; pearls; scortape; Petite Oval Nestabilities

The inside of this card shows the Pressed Flowers tulips and leaves layered with the outlined images from A Year of Flowers - no stamp-a-ma-jig necessary!  Which is great for this lazy stamper...

My next card was made with Theresa Momber's stunning Sending Sunshine stamp set.  Theresa has included such gorgeous images in her stamp set (as always!) so I decided to make a scene with several of them.  Between the outside and the inside of the card, I ended up using seven images and there are still lots in the set that I didn't use!

This card was inspired by a couple of trips my husband and I have made to Savannah, Georgia to see my good friend...

Card Details (card size 5 1/2" square)
Stamps: Sending Sunshine
Cardstock: GinaK white; lavender; violet; chocolate; DCWV patterned papers
Ink: Versafine Black
Other: Detail embossing powder; Copics; Stickles; gold brads; Memento markers

Theresa told us that her tree was a Wisteria tree, so I used lots of lavender on my card ....

Whenever I stamp on patterned papers, I always try to emboss the images to help them really pop against the patterns.  I think my favorite image of all from Theresa's new set is that bird bath - I just LOVE it!

My last card tonight is from Tami Mayberry's new Fairy Tales stamp set.  She has such fun, whimsical images in this new sets of hers that I know I'll be using it a lot for cards for my daughter Ashley and her friends.

I decided to go with a pink, white, and black color scheme - so I pulled out some glitter papers from a Die Cuts with a View paper pack and made this girly card...

Jessica,
I adore your cards! The first card with Melanie's tulips reminds me of my daughter and brought tears to my eyes. What you have done with Theresa's set is amazing and I just need to have it. What could be cuter than Tami's set. You rock, looks like there may not be bills paid or groceries this month LOL
