Tonight we're showcasing Theresa Momber's Life is Good stamp set on our blogs. I have 2 cards to share all made with the same basic layout, elements and papers as the ones I shared on Monday night for Nina Brackett's blog hop. (To see those projects scroll down one post.)
I absolutely love these trees all stamped in a row in versamark ink and embossed with Cream embossing powder - they are so soft and pretty to me against these Basic Grey Wassail papers.
Here's the inside...
Simple - love the sentiment from Rupa's Warm & Wonderful stamp set paired with these snowflakes and the winter scene.
As I was making this card, I started thinking about my backyard. We have a tree line edging our backyard and frequently have deer in our backyard. Since we have an apple tree, a quiet neighborhood and several trees/bushes it seems to attract them - even though we live in town. We've seen as many as 5 deer at a time and recently this fall have seen a buck 3 or 4 times with a doe.
Here's a photo - sorry it's not the best quality, but you get the idea...
So, that was the inspiration for this card...
In the summer, the tree line is so full and lush it can be hard to see the deer but in the fall when the leaves are gone, they are a bit easier to spot. I stamped the trees in a row again and embossed with cream embossing powder and then stamped the trees again in versamark - to try to create a little more fullness.
and here's the inside...

Wow! Jessica, these are absolutely amazing! You rock!
Great card, Jess. You captured the "moment" with ink. Love it.
Love the colors in the first one and the second -- looks like real deer! Beautiful job.
Very cool cards! HA, great inspiration! I have seen deer in my yard as well but not that big. We used to have an apple tree when we first moved in and they loved eating the apples. That might be the attraction also. And tulips!
These are just beautiful, Jessica!! I LOVE seeing deer.
Wow Jess- both of the cards are stunning!!
Wowzers! We have lots of does and fawns, and I know there MUST be a buck or bucks someplace, but have never seen one - especially not like that guy! What a beautiful card! Thanks so much for sharing!
Very COOL! I love the way the deer are behind the trees!
Amazing cards Jessica! I love the masculine feel to these, but they would be great for anyone! Your inspiration photo is wonderful. I just love looking out the window and seeing those big guys!
Lovely white inking, and how cute are those deer peeking around the trees!
Oh wow!!! How cool is that!! I love the deer behind the trees!
Goodness! Your inspiration is awesome ... right in your backyard? Blessed are you! I love those embossed trees ... and you've placed the deer perfectly!

Beautiful cards, Jessica. The one with the deer made me smile because it looks like you are looking out my back windows.
Gorgeous! How amazing that you have that kind of inspiration right in your back yard! You captured the image perfectly!
Your cards are so beautiful, Jessica! You captured the scene out your back windows perfectly! What great inspiration!
Oh my! I don't think I'd ever leave the window! When I lived in NH,(in the care takers cottage) for a camp ground: We often had deer or even Moose munching on the only apple tree around! I don't miss the cold and snow but I do miss the counrty living! Love your cards.
Wonderful cards Jess!! Lovely picture of the deer on your backyard.
God bless
Giovana

What a great inspirational view you have, Jessica! I love the Wassail paper for background with the embossed trees. They look like my neighborhood now with frozen trees everywhere.
