My card today is for another StampTV challenge. This month's CenterStage Spotlight Designer Deb Felts issued the challenge to make a soft and feminine card in honor of the life of Somer Thompson, the little girl who's life was cut tragically short. I'm sure you've heard of this terrible event on the news. Somer's family is from Jacksonville, Florida - the same community as Deb and our GinaK Illustrator Asela Hopkins.
Deb asked us to be sure to use purple on our cards as that was Somer's favorite color and to take the next step and actually mail the card to the address that is listed in the thread so the family can be flooded with cards from our community.
More information about Deb's challenge can be found over on StampTV HERE. I hope you'll get a chance to make a card for Somer's family. Mine will be in the mail tomorrow. I hope that the family knows how much their tragedy has affected people across the country and take a small bit of comfort in the prayers and remembrance of their angel who's life with them was cut too short.
This card also uses the sketch that Melissa Cash shared with us last Thursday. You can see more about that challenge HERE.
