Flower Baskets

Good evening!

Wasn't Nina's blog hop last night fun? I was really inspired by all the amazing artwork from our Design Team! We have been hosting these blog hops to give everyone even more inspiration on how to use the stamp sets that we sell at GinaK Designs... and I know I'm always really inspired by everyone's work!!

My card tonight is one that I made using some images that I colored with my mom several weeks ago when she came for a visit. We used a variety of Copic markers and then I embossed the entire images with one layer of clear embossing powder to really help the colors . The images are from GinaK's Baskets of Happiness, Eclectic Summer, and Take Flight stamp sets.

Sometimes I'm in the mood to create something but don't always want to make a whole card - do you ever get like that? So, during times like that I pull out my Copic markers and sit down a color a bunch of images, cut them out and put them in a basket so they are all ready to be made into cards on another day. That way, I can crank out 8 cards or more at a time and look like I'm superwoman! lol!

I'd love to hear the 'shortcuts' that you use when you are making cards sometime! Tina has a fun discussion about this over on StampTV. You can leave your comment there - or here on my blog, if you want to. It's always fun hearing what works for other stampers, isn't it?

Check back in with me tomorrow night when we'll be doing another GinaK Designs' blog hop featuring Melanie's School Sports Spirit stamp set!

And, last but not least - today is my sister Jenny's birthday!! Happy birthday, Jenny!!! We love you and hope your day was as special as you are to our family!!

Beautiful Jessica. Yes, I do the same thing as you do. I can't stay awake and watch TV so I like to color and cut things out while I watch it. Sure makes it easy when you want to get a lot of cards done. Sometimes I emboss a bunch of cardstock with embossing folders and keep them in a tray for future use. One other thing I sometimes do is to cut out colored images with nestabilities and make cut a scalloped frame to match and store them for future use. Can you tell -- I have a hard time just sitting still!

Very pretty card, Jessica. I'm really getting into coloring things for later use as well. You told me you did that long ago and I've continued since. Such a great teacher you are! *smile*
