DigiChick Box Template

Good morning!

The gals from PaperCraft Planet have all been busy playing with a variety of awesome 3D templates from DigiChick. You've got to check out Kelleigh's site - she has loads of digital goodies on her website and her prices are so reasonable!!

I chose this FancyBag template and printed it out on some K&Co. paper - I trimmed it to 8.5 x 11 to fit through my printer. Following the detailed instructions that are included in the template download, I cut and scored it with my Scorpal and used Mono Multi Glue to put the bag together. (I really like using the liquid Mono Multi glue for my 3D things because you have a little time to adjust your project before the glue sets - and once it's set: it's permanent!)

As you can see from this close-up shot, I used Asela's Friendship's Garden to embellish my project. I stamped it 3 times in Versafine ink, clear embossed it and paper pieced it all together...

Here's a shot of the entire project: the mini card & the 3 m&m pouches that all fit in the bag...

My husband rolled his eyes when I showed him the m&m pouches... men! They just don't get it, do they!? lol! Everything HAD to match, right!?

The measurements for the pouch is 2 x 8.75; scored at 4 & 8. I then trimmed 1/4" off one end of it and used my Dot-n-Roller adhesive to put a strip of glue down one side of the pouch and stuck the m&m bag to it. It's held closed by a little strip of adhesive along the flap.

This is the card that is tucked inside of the bag - I used the same flower paper pieced for the main embellishment. Here's the inside...

Just a little note for mom in honor of mother's day! I used a variety of punches on this one: Marvy's flower & scallop heart punches along with SU's oval & scallop oval punch. The sentiments are all from GinaK - Tag Lines & Kindred Greetings for Her.

I had to make one 3x3 card with the scraps on my table - it's so simple, no stamping at all...

We have a fun challenge going on in the 3D group this week over at PaperCraft Planet. Upload a 3D project of your own using the tag 3D11 and you'll be entered for a chance to win some spending money from DigiChick to go shopping for some super fun stuff! The challenge ends next Tuesday, May 12th, so you have a full week to participate!
