Thursday's StampTV Sketch card

Good morning!

I meant to share this with you yesterday, but the day got away from me... sorry about that! The card I'm sharing today is for the Sketch Challenge that I'm hosting this week on StampTV. To view the sketch and details, check out this Discussion.

Since Easter is coming up, I pulled out my very favorite Easter set of Gina's - her Baskets of Happiness set. I adore the flowers and those cute little eggs...


When I was thinking about the image, I decided to color it with Copics, so I pulled out several markers to match the patterned papers. These papers are retired SU spring papers from a while back, by the way. It's a little ridiculous how many markers I used to color with - see what I mean? lol! But, I wanted the eggs to be nice and colorful...

What makes it even crazier is that after I colored everything in, I felt like it needed glitter - so I ended up adding a variety of glitters to the eggs and the centers of the flowers which in essence covered up most of the shading! So, in the future think about if you're going to add glitter to something don't worry about spending so much time with the shading ... says Jessica to herself.... LOL! But, coloring is my therapy sometimes!

I used a variety of Doodlebug's glitters on the eggs along with an additional mossy green glitter that I had in my stash. The Quickie Glue pen is the easiest way to add these glitters to your images - especially tiny areas like these. And, seriously, the glitter makes the card really come to life.

For the inside, I used another adorable GinaK set called Spring Holidays - those bunnies are just too cute...
