Cracked Stained Glass....

Let the previews begin!!

First up, we are showing off Rupa Shevde's beautiful new stamp set called Easter Blessings - and it is simply beautiful. I'm sure you're not surprised by that if you are as big of a fan of Rupa's art as I am!

This gorgeous stained glass window was stamped and colored with Copics on GinaK's Pure Luxury cardstock. Then I used about 4 or 5 layers of versamark with Ultra Thick embossing powder to cover the entire panel with a thick layer of enamel. After throwing it in the freezer for about 5 or 10 minutes, I took it out when it was nice and cold and gently bent it to 'break' the glassy coating. I'm always amazed at how beautiful this technique is. The copics really glow under the embossing powder.

The rest of the card is pretty simple so the emphasis is totally on the cracked glass image. I used some retired SU spring paper along with Gina's gorgeous new Black Onyx Cardstock. Black really makes these bright springy colors pop!

The thickness of Gina's new Black Onyx paper is simply amazing... you've got to feel it to believe it. I used to think Stampin Up's cardstock was thick - and it is - but Gina's is much thicker than SU's. She'll be adding her Black Onyx cardstock in packs of 25 on Thursday night and I'm sure it will be flying out the doors!

Here's the inside view...
