Charming Wishes...

Welcome back to the last day of previews before the new stamp sets become available tonight after Gina's Release Party! I'm excited to share 2 cards with you tonight showcasing Melanie's new stamp set and Gina's new Free with Three stamp set.

First, up is Melanie's A Charmed Life. Get your scissors ready because this stamp set is LOADED with images and sentiments! I decided to go out of the box with Melanie's set and made this card with two of the sentiments included in her set....

I just love this Granny in her little Volkswagon! Wouldn't this be a fun card to give to a girlfriend who you are wanting to take out for lunch? All of us gals who work at Gina's Retail store have been trying to take Gina out for her birthday dinner since her birthday LAST month... hopefully, we'll be able to do it sometime before her next birthday rolls around! lol!

I stamped the image and sentiments in Black Memento ink on GinaK's Pure Luxury Cardstock and then colored with Copics and punched out the sentiments with some Stampin Up punches. The black cardstock on this card and the one below is GinaK's Black Onyx cardstock that will be available in packs of 25 sheets later tonight. I love it!!

Next, is the Free with Three stamp set called Wreath of Wishes....

While browsing through the StampTV gallery recently I came across DawnL's card that used the flowers from Friendship Blooms as wildflowers - and was inspired to try it out for myself on this card. I stamped the flowers along the bottom of the Heavy Base 120 lb. White cardstock in Black Memento ink and added some blades of grass to fill in the empty spots with my Black fine point pen and then colored everything in with Copics.

The wreath was stamped, colored, and then cut with a Circle nestability. Then, I rubbed Versamark over the entire image and embossed with SU's Iridescent Ice embossing powder - I love the sparkle of that powder! It's matted on a Petite Scallop Circle cut from Gina's Black Onyx cardstock. To highlight the edges of the embossing, I gently rubbed CraftT's Silver Rub-on Paste from the Holiday collection.

For the center of the wreath, I stamped the word "hope" found in Gina's Spring Blooms stamp set and punched out with a scalloped oval punch. To highlight the scallops, I pierced the backside of the scallops. I slit into the score line of my cardbase to thread Stampin Up's Basic Gray Tafetta ribbon through the card and tied a bow. This helped to separate the Cuttlebug embossed swirls at the top of the card nicely.

I thought this card would be a nice one to give to a friend who is going through a hard time. See the sentiment inside which is found in the Wreath of Wishes stamp set...

"My door is always open" - isn't that nice? This is a stamp set that she gave to the gals who went on the Stamping Cruise last October and I'm happy to finally get a chance to stamp with it!

Be sure to check out Gina's Design Team Member's Blogs for more previews and inspiration...

I hope to see you later tonight at the release party! I'll have LOTS more cards to share then...

Such a cheerful card using the Wreath of Wishes and what a fun Granny in the car card - she was a fun one to color in class and you do a great job with her. You know there IS a McDonald's within walking distance from the store - you can threaten Gina with that for her BD lunch LOL.
