Good evening!
Today I had a chance to make a Valentine's Day card - does that seem crazy to you? Christmas just finished and we're on to Valentine's Day already! Melanie's Blogaversary is still going on for a few more days, so I thought I'd use this fun Have a Cookie stamp set since it has these adorable heart cookie shapes.
Paper Craft Planet's theme for the design team gals this month is Love/Valentine's Day - so I'm happy that this card will work for both Melanie's celebration and PCP's album!
The designer paper and buttons are from Basic Grey's Eva collection. I love the rosey pinks - they are perfect for Valentine's Day, aren't they? After I stamped the main image panel, I layered it onto SU's brushed silver cardstock to mimic a cookie sheet.
I stamped the images in Black Versafine ink on GinaK's 80lb. Pure Luxury cardstock and embossed with clear detail embossing powder - that is my favorite way to prepare for coloring with Copics, in case you haven't noticed! lol! It seems like I say that in every single blog post - so sorry for repeating myself so much!
After coloring the heart cookies with Copics, I cut them out and popped them up all over the bottom of my card. Then, I added some Cotton Candy Stickles for the cookie sprinkles - I LOVE that sparkle!
Here's the full view of the card - isn't it cute? I love all those cookies piled up! After chocolate chip cookies, my second favorite cookies are sugar cookies with frosting... yummy!
And finally, here's the inside view....
A couple of more cookies along with a large plain heart nestability cut out for me to write my greeting on. I'm going to have to change the sentiment "I'd be one happy woman" - to "one chubby woman" with all those cookies all over the card! LOL!
I'll have another 6x6 scrapbook layout tonight at midnight - so be sure to check that one out with all the blog hop links for Melanie's blogaversary... you don't want to miss one of them, I promise!
