Got Snow?

Good Monday morning!

Boy, the wind is just howling outside this morning and the temperatures are well below zero - I'm wondering if it's January already with the frigid temperatures we've been having this month! And, another snowstorm is on the way tomorrow afternoon...

I have an Odorless Mineral Spirits class schedules for tomorrow, but please call the store if you've signed up to see if we'll still be holding the evening class due to the snowstorm coming. I hope we'll still be able to have it because I have some fun projects planned for us. We'll make 2 cards together learning a few basic blending and shading techniques with our Koh-i-noor Pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits.

Now, on to today's card: more Penny Black Hedgehogs....

I had tried to share this one in yesterday's post but I was having problems uploading the photos in the order that I wanted them to appear. So, for a quick refresher - I made this card for the Holiday Design Team Album for PaperCraft Planet. The stamp set is from Penny Black and the images are stamped in black versafine ink and embossed with SU's Irridescent Ice Embossing powder on GinaK's 80lb. Pure Luxury Cardstock.

For the snow, I swirled Liquid Applique around the sled and sprinkled with Irridescent Ice embossing powder, since I already had it out on my table. The hats have Doodlebug's clear glitter on the rims and liquide applique on the puff balls. Stampin Up's felt flurries and the Snowflake Cuttlebug folder helped me finish off my snowflake theme.

After I added the rhinestones to the main panels, I decided to add a ribbon but wasn't sure where to put it. So, I decided to try to make a side bow and after adding the bottom strip, it finally felt finished. Some cards are labors of love, you know what I mean? lol!

Have a wonderful day and keep warm!
Jessica

Whooooosh!
Even though I'm not normally a fan of winter, I must admit that slipping down a fast hill on a sled is right up my alley! Love this, Jessica!

This is a really adorable card, Jessica! I love what you did with it! The colors are great and I love the texture on the red. Those little guys are pretty cute too.
