Sporty Coach Card

Good morning!

What a fun stamp set Melanie has come up with for this month! It's perfect for sports of all kinds - have you heard how many stamps are in this set?! 64, I'm told! I didn't take the time to count... heehee...

There's a few things that I particularly like about this set. One is that Sweatshirt - how fun is that? Perfect for guy cards - or teenagers, or anyone really! I stamped my sweatshirt in black Versafine ink on one of the new Black Magic Paper packs Gina will be adding to her online store on Friday and clear embossed it. Then, I took a copic marker and shaded the shirt. To add a little something more to the pocket, I punched out a EK Success star punch and outlined it with my .05 black Sakura multiliner.

Below is a close-up of the sweatshirt for you to see the details and the texture of the paper....

Another thing that I really like about this set are those numbers along the bottom of my card. Instead of cutting them all out separately, I left all 10 of them together, so that I could use them in a row like I did on this card. I may cut them apart, or not - I'm not sure, but for now I like this option. This is just one of the perks of cutting your own stamps, right?

Be sure to check out everyone else's amazing cards with this super fun, Just So Sporty stamp set! I know a few of them have blog candy on their blogs, so be sure to enter to win that too!

Join us here on in GinaK Design's Forum on Splitcoast Stampers on Friday night from 7 - 10 pm (CST) for September's Release Party! There will be contests and lots of chatter. Gina's release parties are always lots of fun. I get to be one of the challenge hosts for this release, so I hope you'll check that out too!

Have a great day and rest up for the big party tonight! LOL!

Oh, and by the way, I switched out my Whimsical Autumn card that I shared in yesterday's post, so that you can click on the photo to enlarge it if you would like to see a closer look.

I got to see this card in person today! Jessica, this is one of my favorite cards in the world. Love the stars. I love those numbers going across. I really love how big they are. They are as big as some of my number stamp sets! Fabulous card!!!

yes, the number border rocks, great idea!! I DID cut mine apart but I just made one cut between each number so that all the stamps look like a rectangles, easy to cutt them all up to each other to make a line like this again(nd didn't cut anything below them sinc ethey are at thre bottom of the sheet that way they stay in a perfect line! :) Adorable sample, hugs!!!

Jess, I love your card. That textured card stock is awesome. It really makes the sweatshirt look so much more real. See you at the party tonight.

This is FAN-tastic. Get it. Sorry for the pun!
I {heart} that you left the numbers all together, and I haven't trimmed that part of my set yet, so thanks for the tip!

And the paper piecing is wonderful! Great card!
