January Sweet 'n Sassy Stamp Release!

Good morning!

Today is Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps' January release and the design team are joining together to share some card projects we've made with the new products now available on SNSS site.  For all the full information on all the new products added, please hop over to the SNSS company blog.

My first card uses the beautiful new Parisian Postcard stamp set.  Such a gorgeous Vintage/Collage stamp set illustrated by Gracielle Design!  I paired it with the Decorative Frames stamp set and the coordinating Decorative Plaques dies along with the Be Encouraged stamp set for the sentiment.

Next up is the fun Sassy Cindy stamp set, illustrated by Diane Zechman.  This stamp set is filled with sassy sentiments, perfect for cards for your girl friends!  My next card below, uses Diane's Sweet Sarah stamp set.  This set's sentiments are sweet - as they name suggests, perfect for anyone!

Hi there and Happy New Year!

It's been a busy, enjoyable Christmas season for us and I hope it's been a great one for you too!  I have lots of cards that I was planning on sharing over the Christmas break from school, but never got online much to actually post them!  So, I guess I'll be sharing card samples to get you inspired to begin on next year's Christmas cards this month!  lol!

But, first I thought I'd share a card of thankfulness I made for a friend of mine recently.  I adore the Sweet 'n Sassy Autumn Bounty stamp set so much.  It's one of my very favorite floral images from SNSS.  I stamped it on a yellow tag and colored with Copics.  I find it enjoyable to stamp on colored card stocks and color with Copics sometimes - it's a break from the usual white background and give a nice tint to the images.

I found those kraft 3D butterflies at Michaels recently - I haven't been in that store for a LONG time and was looking for a couple of fun new embellishments to add to my stash.

Good morning!

I'm back with another Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps' December stamp set feature: Happy Home.  I've been having fun playing with my October Afternoon paper stash and thought the 'we've moved' sentiment would be fun paired with this barnyard scene including the cow image.  You' know, we've 'moooo-ved' - lol!

The card ended up being a bit busier than I wanted it to, but it's a fun one with all the patterns!

Good morning!

My card today once again uses one of the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps' featured stamp sets for this month: So Grateful.  I went 'scrappy' with my card and used this bird image section of an October Afternoon patterned paper and built my card around it.

I love the song "Count your blessings" and was thinking about that when I paired this sentiment with the bird 'singing.'  Such a fun card to pull together!

bloom & grow

Good morning!

I have a card to share using today's stamp set being featured over on the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps blog: Bloom and Grow.  The busier my life gets, the more I fall in love with solid stamps that don't require coloring... lol!  This stamp set fits the bill and the delicate shading Korin designed in the leaves and flowers are an added bonus!

I stamped the flower pieces on a textured yellow paper and then used a waterbrush to soften the inked lines a bit in the centers to try to make it look a bit watercolored.  One more love/valentine card for my stash - perfect!

Good morning!

I have a card this morning to share that I made using Reverse Confetti's December Sketch for You to Try:

I love those circles in the sketch and decided to do some messy stitching across them for this Valentine/Love card.  Lots of RC dies on this card today - some cut with patterned papers, glittery fun foam and even felt and chipboard!  Here's all the Reverse Confetti products I used for my card:

harvest of blessings

Good morning!

Although Thanksgiving is officially over, technically, it's still 'officially' autumn for a few more weeks so I thought I'd share a card I made recently using the lovely Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Autumn Collage stamp set.

I stamped the large image on patterned paper and embossed with white embossing powder and then used some of my Memento Markers to color in spots of the image, trying to help it pop a bit.  Lots of layers, patterns, textures - just a fun card to make!

Good morning!

Have you been busy with your Christmas cards, this year?  I haven't looked through my stash yet - I better get a count soon to find out how many more I need to make!  

I made this card today, thinking of a more 'masculine' feel by using the lovely Sweet'n Sassy Landscape Silhouettes stamp set.  I paired it with the Christmas Sentiments stamp set and a couple of Snowflake dies cut from vellum.

Sweet'n Sassy Stamps is having a fun "2014 Year in Review" stamp set feature during the month of December.  For all the specific information about today's stamp set being featured as well as other designer's samples, please hop over to the SNSS blog for all those details.

Today, SNSS is featuring The Future stamp set.  I paired it with an older, retired Smell the Flowers stamp set - I love that vase of flowers, whether it's colored in or not as I used it here, choosing to stamp it in light blue ink for a background for the sentiment.

Such a lovely sentiment, filled with truth to give a friend who is going through a rough time.  The Future stamp set is filled with them - check it out, if you don't already have it in your collection!

Good morning!

December 1st means another new Reverse Confetti Sketch for You to Try!  

I took some liberties with the sketch on my card for today, but the inspiration was totally drawn from the sketch and my desire to use these two RC dies on my card:

When I saw the circles in the sketch, I immediately thought about the new Circle Garland and knew I wanted to use it on my card - even though the balls are much smaller than the ones in the sketch.  I also wanted to use the new Chevron Borders because they are fantastic!  I pulled out an older October Afternoon Christmas paper pack and when I saw this paper with the Snowmen, I knew I needed to use it as well!  

While putting the card together, it became pretty evident that I wouldn't be able to put the sentiment where it's supposed to according to the sketch, so I put it in the center since it nestled so well in the curve of the chevron.  I love the play on words this "friends to the end" sentiment has when you think about how 'short' a snowman's life is... haha!

Good morning!

I have a card to share with you today that I made using SNSS's new Scripture & Sentiments Companion stamp set along with the lovely Peace of God stamp set.

I chose to go with shades of blue and accents of white for my CAS card.  Korin's bird images are gorgeous colored in with a variety of mediums but they are also lovely stamped in colored ink because of the fine details included in the stamped image.  I added a bit of white liquid pearls to the berries on the image for some visual interest.

Good morning!

I have a card to share with you today that uses November's Reverse Confetti Sketch for You to Try:

I used the adorable new Marley Moose stamp set: Pure cuteness!  As you can see, I flipped the sketch and added a sentiment label as well as the sprig of mistletoe over Marley's head.  I stamped Marley in red ink and colored with Copics and the mistletoe in green ink and colored with Copics - just for something a bit different.  I die cut a heart out of some glittery fun foam for a pop of sparkly love!

SNSS November release blog hop!

Good morning!

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is celebrating their 7th birthday this month as well as the new products available now for purchase for November.  

For all the specific details on each new product as well as the new challenge going live today, please hop over to the SNSS company blog.

For my first card, I played with the new Birthday word die and the coordinating Companion Words die.  I die cut it from some light blue card stock and then just die cut the candle from both yellow and orange felt scraps and glued them together.  Then, I die cut the word from a piece of card stock and glued it to the felt for a bit of backing to help stabilize the felt a bit bit.  

I went CAS with this card because I was thinking this card would be fun for a 'tween' boy or girl and didn't think they'd be impressed with all the extras that us moms/crafters enjoy!  lol!

My next card uses the beautiful new Bare Tree die along with the new Scripture & Sentiment Companion stamp set.  Another CAS card this time for my 'thinking of you/sympathy' stash.  I made it flat, so it would be easy for mailing it out.

One last card from me today, this time again using the Scripture & Sentiments stamp set along with the beautiful God's Purpose stamp set:

I don't know about you, but I have been busier this past summer and fall than ever.  As my children get older, they need me more than ever - have you moms found that to be true as well?  At any rate, my time for stamping has decreased so much, so I am falling in love more with the clean and simple style of card making and images that are so lovely on their own that they don't always need to be colored.  Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps' images fit the bill perfectly, in my book.  This chickadee image is GORGEOUS stamped in burgandy ink to match the card front patterned paper.  A bit of trim, twine, a liquid pearl drop on the bird's eye and glitter and it's done.   

Korin released the coordinating God's Purpose die for this sweet birdie, but I choose to stamp the image directly on the journaling card and stamped the image in the same burgandy ink.  I added just a bit of stardust stickles to the berries.  Stickles makes the die ink bleed a bit, but I was ok with that since I knew it would add a bit more color to the image.
