Simple Cup of Love

Good evening!

Did you see that Gina was offering a 4 pack of circle nestabilities over the weekend on her blog for 'blog candy'? I think she closed off the comments and may have announced the winner by now... I haven't had a chance to look yet today. But, I thought I'd share a card I made with my circle nestabilities recently.

I love making shaped cards and thought Rupa's coffee cup would make an adorable little card. I used Gina's new 120lb. cardstock for the card base. This paper is so thick you have to run it through the Cuttlebug twice to cut through both layers! I ran it through once and then rewound it through to make sure it cut it out completely. Then, I embossed the middle circle - can you see how deep the embossing is?

After the card base was finished, I stamped the cup in Versafine ink and clear embossed it. Then, I colored it in with Copic markers and added liquid applique and glitter to the applique which I then heated with my heat gun to puff up. I really like adding glitter to my liquid applique before I heat set it because it keeps the puff manageable and adds a little shimmer to it.

The heart is an EK success medium sized paper punch that I punched out of DCWV Glitter paper. The ribbon bow is from GinaK's Pure Luxury Holiday Ribbon line.

Have a great rest of your night!
Jessica
