Autumn Blessings: Sweet'n Sassy Stamps September Release!

Good morning!

Welcome to Sweet'n Sassy Stamps' September Release!  The designers from SNSS are joining together to celebrate the fabulous new dies and stamp sets that are now available right HERE!  All the specific release information as well as the new Friday challenge details can be found on the SNSS company blog.

I'm going to jump right in and share my projects for today's hop event - get ready because I have several cards to share!

I love stamps that have coordinating dies as much as you do, but also love dies that can stand alone.  Makes it even more versatile in my book!  My first card shows a die set that does just that.  It's called Leaf Silhouettes Dies (which coordinate with the Leaf Silhouettes stamp set).

I laid the large leaf dies all around the kraft card stock and die cut the entire panel - I was going for an applique type look.  Then, I took a variety of patterned paper scraps, die cut them from the same leaves I used on the panel and inlaid them into the coordinating spaces.  Then, to get a 'quilted' look, I ran the entire panel through my die cutting machine with an impression plate.  I rubbed a bit of light brown chalk ink over the entire panel to help bring out the embossing details.  Finally, I stitched the panel to the card front.  Such a fun 'shabby' card!

My next card shows some more die cutting and inlaid pieces with a couple more stand alone dies.  The deer and tree dies are part of the new Forest Silhouettes die set collection, which coordinates with the Forest Silhouettes stamp set.  The sentiment is from the stamp set.

I also used the tall grass die a couple of different ways on my card.  First, I embossed the grass die into the yellow card front and then layered some grass, die cut out of vellum, offset a bit on the card front from the embossing.

Next up is the next installment of our adorable Rhubarb the Teddy Bear!  I've missed him!  This adorable new set is called Beary Bountiful Autumn.  Some Copic coloring on Rhubarb, burlap ribbon & copper twine and textured/embossed card stock all worked together to make a fun fall card!

Next, is a card that uses the new Falling Leaves stamp set.

I decided to do a bit of experimenting and pulled out my Perfect Pearls to see if I could get a variety of metallic colored leaves.  I used gold and copper powders but it's hard to tell the different on this sahara sand note card.   It didn't work quite the way I was hoping but I like the layout and think it's a soft, pretty card so I thought I'd share it anyway.  Not all experiments work, do they?

I wish I would have stamped the sentiments with Versamark and embossed with detail gold or copper embossing powder as it doesn't have the effect I was hoping for with the Perfect Pearls...

And, finally, my last card uses the two new Autumn Blessings and Skeleton Leaves background stamp sets.  I love the simplicity of this card  utilizing many of my favorite things: heat embossing, doilies, sewing, die cut labels, textured card stock, seam binding ribbon, and buttons,..

Remember to hop over to the SNSS company blog for all specifics on each new product added to the online store.  The designers blog links can be found at the end of this blog post with their photo blog links.

Happy Friday!
