Hi!
Yesterday, I shared how much my family loves chocolate cookies - oreos, chocolate chip - you name it, we love them all! Today, I'm sharing some sugar cookies that I made with Melanie's Have a Cookie set. Sugar cookies with frosting and sprinkles have to be my second favorite cookie - especially around Christmas and Valentines' Day.
Do you remember all those orange specialty Doodlebug papers that I was using for my cards a while back? Well, I used another strip of that paper on this card. I loved the glitter and the color of the cardstock and thought it would work well with my glittered and sprinkled cookies!
Here's a close up of the milk glass... (I used Copics to color the glass and a layer or Crystal Lacquer over it for shine.)
Here's a view of the entire card. I love the row of cookies all lined up ready to devoured...
For the cookies, I stamped in black memento ink on GinaK's 80lb. pure luxury cardstock and then colored with Copic markers. Then, I added a layer of Crystal lacquer over the frosting area and sprinkled some mini pastel beads that I've had in my stash for a long time! I picked them up at WalMart in the beading section a long time ago. While everything was still wet, I sprinkled some dazzling diamonds glitter over the frosting. This helped to fill in some spots and really glittered them up. It also helped the Crystal lacquer to dry faster.
Thanks for stopping by!
Jessica
