Good evening!
I have a quick reminder tonight of an upcoming Odorless Minderal Spirits class that I'm having this Thursday January 22nd at GinaK Designs store in McFarland. There are two class times available - 1-3 or 5:30 - 7:30. I will also have having the class in February and we'll be doing the same cards at each class. For more information and details about the class, see the class list here.
This is one of the cards we'll make together...
Melanie's Year of Flowers stamp set is perfect to use with this coloring technique because we can use as many different colors as we want to color our roses! The card base is GinaK's 120lb. Pure Luxury cardstock - so it's nice and sturdy. I also stamped the flowers and leaves ong 120lb. cardstock so that they would really stand out on the front of the card. I used our Tonic Corner punch to notch each corner for an elegant touch that works well with the embossed Petite Oval Nestability.
After coloring and cutting the flowers out, I took Sakura's Clear Glitter pen and my Niji Waterbrush and did my Sakura Style Watercoloring technique. It's hard to see the sparkle in these photos, but it's pretty noticeable in person. This technique is always a big hit and works great with the waterproof black Stazon ink that we use when coloring with Koh-i-noor pencils and OMS.
Here's the inside view...
See what I mean about getting lots of practice with coloring! lol! The sentiment from Say it with Flowers and roses were stamped on GinaK's 80lb. cardstock and then layered onto the inside panel. I like the white on white look...
I'll share the other card we'll make together at the class tomorrow. And tonight at midnight - the previews begin with two new stamp sets from GinaK. Lots of fun eyecandy this week! lol!
Have a great night!
Jessica
