Good morning!
Today we're sharing the two fun stamp sets that Melanie has designed for us this month. The first one is called Have a Cookie! and she designed it specifically with her mother in mind. It's an adorable stamp set that is filled with images all about holiday cookie making - which is something that I love to do each holiday season with my kids.
I stamped the stars and hearts on Gina's new Luxury White cardstock in Black Memento ink and colored the images in with Copic Markers. And then because no holiday cookie is complete in our house without sprinkles, I added some diamond stickles to the centers of the stars and pink cotton candy ones to the hearts. I love using the clear stickles because your coloring still shows through the glitter.
I was so tickled to see that these Dress it Up buttons that I have had in my stash for a while coordinate perfectly with Mel's set. You'll see what I mean a little better when I share the other 2 cards I made with this stamp set during the release party. Yep, I'm a tease....
The second set Mel is releasing this month is called Tee Talk and it is an addition to her other shirt stamp sets: Little Tees and Just so Sporty. Even if you don't have the other stamp sets, you could easily find a use for this set. I pulled out my favorite 'paper doll' paper punches from EK Success to show how great they work with paper punches!
Several years ago, I fell in love with these paper punches and had to have them. I spent countless hours playing with them and had so much fun creating dolls to match people and kids in my life. Yes, I know I'm a little strange, but it was so much fun! I pulled them back out to make a couple of girl friends with special T-shirts.
The dolls are made entirely of paper punches - aren't they cute!? I added a few touches along with the stamps - Clear Rhinestones, some detail work with my favorite .01 black Sakura pen, and some rosey cheeks with a blush marker.
I hope you enjoyed my projects - now be sure to check out everyone elses too! It's so awesome to be part of such an amazing team...
