Card Details: Make a Wish (GKD); Cardstock: SU - mellow moss, cocoa, bashful blue, ww; Copic Markers; Pebbles Pearlescent Chalks; Cuttlebug & embossing folder; Tim Holtz Distresser; Versafine Black Ink & Clear Embossing Powder; Queen & Co Brads; Staedtler Black Fineline Pens
Good morning! Since we're away on vacation, I thought I'd share a few cards that I made a few weeks ago with Gina's awesome set Make a Wish. It's one of her Stamps for a Cause sets - a portion of the sales goes to the Make a Wish foundation.
A family I babysat for a few years ago has been a recipient of this awesome foundation, and I know they had a great time going to Disney World together as a family. I'm sure many great memories were made that they will cherish for a lifetime.
Both of these cards were colored with my Copic markers. The wishing well is colored on whisper white cardstock from SU while the birthday cake is stamped & colored on SU saffron cardstock. I was really happy with how the colors looked on the light yellow paper.
I absolutely love my cuttlebug & embossing folders! They add just the right textures to almost any project! Before running the papers through the cuttlebug, I rubbed the same inks as the papers onto the embossing folders then embossed them. Whoever came up with this 'cuttlebug smoosh' technique is a genius! It adds awesome highlights to the embossing... I love it!
