Good morning!
Welcome to the first day of Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps August release 'feature blog hops!' Today we are showcasing a huge new stamp set with some coordinating new dies - which I absolutely love! The stamp set is called Bookmark Bits & Pieces and the coordinating dies are called Bookmarks & More.
Here's a photo of the bundle available for purchase <--- link to purchase
The stamps are adorable - my favorite is that globe!! - but I thought I'd lead off my cards for today with the fabulous dies... LOVE! As you can see, I used one of the bookmark dies for a 'banner' off the top of my card and stamped a sentiment in one of the frames.
August Stamps used: Prim Blessings (sunflower); Decorative Frames (sentiment)
For my second project for today, I thought I'd share the bookmark I made with the set. I die cut the bookmark and then stamped the sentiment in versafine ink. Then, I began stamping other elements from the set, filling in wherever there was space. Then, I added some doodling, colored the images with Copics and then shaded the edges with Versamagic chalk ink. Then, I matted it to some matching turquoise card stock and hand cut around it to make it a bit sturdier, since I cut the original out of lighter weight white card stock.
I used a bright Basic Grey glazed button and found some coordinating baker's twine to tie a 'tassel' to the top. It's hard to see in the photo, but I did some coloring with my clear Sakura glitter pen to some of the images for some sparkle. I wanted it to be flat, so it could actually be used as a bookmark! lol!
