SNSS: Landscapes

Good morning!

Today, the designers from Sweet 'n Stamps are beginning our May Release blog hop event.  For the next several days, we will be showcasing the new release with lots of samples.  Be sure to leave comments along the way for your chance to win the stamp set that is featured each day.

Our first hop is for the new Landscapes stamp set.  It's a huge stamp set filled with lots of different silhouette landscapes!

  • Stamp set includes 12 images
  • Set measures approximately 8" 6"
  • The cityscape image measures approximately 4 1/8" x 7/8"
  • Designed by Korin Sutherland
  • Stamp set is priced at $26

My first card uses the mountain landscape that I stamped several different times in different colors. I was going for the different colors we saw while visiting the Blacks Hills last June on our family vacation.  Not sure if it worked, but I like it just the same.  The sentiment comes from the Be Encouraged stamp set - a fitting one with this image in my mind.  I love this verse and always think of the beginning of it - "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, where does my help come from?  My help comes from the Lord."

The background is a piece of Vellum card stock embossed with the sunbeam impression plate from PaperTrey Ink.  Love that look of the sunbeams behind the hills.

My next card also uses a sentiment from Be Encouraged along with another landscape image.

My last card for today uses this safari landscape (love!) with a sentiment from the new Across the Miles stamp set for the sentiment. I wrapped some gold shimmer twine around the card front four times for a 'masculine' type of ribbon treatment... love twine for that look!

For all the designer's samples with today's featured stamp set check out the photos below - they will take you directly to the designer's blogs for more information.  Be sure to leave comments along the way for your chance to win this stamp set.

Happy Hopping!
Jessica

  16. I love the depth you created in your first card Jessica. And thanks for the two beautiful reminders that silhouette images do NOT HAVE to be brayered or sponged behind - they look pretty standing on their own on pretty colored or patterned papers too!

  18. These cards are all fabulous! As soon as I saw the mountains with that verse, I was thinking that previously the psalm talks about lifting my eyes up to the hills. Perfect combination!
