Hi There!
While visiting with a good friend of mine last week {Hi Sue!}, she shared some of the new PaperTrey goodies she ordered and reminded me of the monthly blog hop event that they have on the 25th of each month and asked if I would like to borrow some of her new toys to participate in the hop with. After looking at this fun 2010 Holiday Tags stamp set and the coordinating dies and checking out Nichole's challenge, I thought - why not!? So, here you go - a relatively quick and simple card with lots of circles!
Card Details
Stamps: 2010 Holiday Tags (PTI)
Ink: White hybrid ink; inky blue vivid
Cardstock: GinaK soft sand, kraft, navy, white; MFT cork; vellum
Other: PTI scallop dies; EK Success 1 3/4" circle punch; twine; cuttlebug seeing spots folder; SU punches (for inside); rhinestones
Since the challenge was to make a non-Christmas holiday card, I choose to go with snowflakes in honor of Winter Solstice. But, I think it could work for Christmas too, don't you think?
The inside is pretty plain - I added a few elements and then drew in a hand 'stitched' line around the white mat for some visual interest....
To see everyone's beautiful cards, check out Nichole's blog post.
Thanks for checking in on me!
Jessica

ReplyDeleteVery cool the way you started w/polka dots (circles) and kept the circle theme going! All the textures (including embossing and cork) and colors are great and come together quite nicely! Thanks for the inspiration! :)
