I'm honored to join an amazing group of designers today on the CASE study blog. Layers of Color is sponsoring the challenge this week by donating a couple of the products I used to create my card: Granny's Jewelry clear art stamp set and the Delicious Dots clear art stencil to the winner.
The amazing Eva Dobilas is the muse this month and her gorgeous inspiration card for this week as well as the entire month, can be seen on the CASE study blog. We were also asked to use the color combination for this week from The Play Date Cafe on our project.
Now, let's talk about a few of the details of my card project. I stamped the verse from The Love Chapter on a piece of patterned notebook paper (from October Afternoon) and die cut the edge with My Favorite Things' notebook edge die. Then, I took a few copic markers (in keeping with the color challenge) and colored the bold letters in the verse.
The PaperTrey ticket die was distressed a bit with Old Paper Distress ink and then I stamped the flower image from Granny's Jewelry stamp set on each ticket and colored the image with the same Copics used on the verse. After the entire card was assembled, I added a layer of Crystal Lacquer over the colored images and letters for some added shine and dimension.
