Day 4 Previews: Carolyn and Gina!

Welcome to my blog!

I'm so happy to be joining in on the last day of previews with the rest of GinaK's Design team! The first stamp set that I'm featuring tonight is Carolyn King's Warm Winter Wishes. It is adorable - just look at this cute snowman!?

And, even better it's Carolyn's second Alzheimer's Awareness stamp set. She is donating 100% of her profits to this worthy cause in honor of her beloved Grandmother. What a wonderful cause that hits home for me too since my Grandmother had the terrible disease too.

Here's a close up of the inside of this card...

Next, is another gift card holder that I made with Cammie's cute mug image...

I paired her image with GinaK's Mega Scallop frames & doodles image - look at how cute it is inside this frame! You can see below that I made an envelope for this gift card because there wasn't one that I could find that matched the papers very well.

I'll share my envelope template in a day or two on my blog when I go into more details about how I made this little gift bags - so watch for that post this weekend!

Next up is a card I made with GinaK's new Free with Three stamp set called Holiday Greetings:

Sorry the photo is a little bright... lol! I had the hardest time photographing these release projects for some reason - so I headed outside for some natural light.

Lots of embossing and rich colors on this quick card!

Now that you've finished checking out all my projects, head over to GinaK's blog to add your comment to her blog entry for a chance to win the stamp sets being previewed tonight our blogs! Then, check in on Carolyn King's blog - the Illustrator of Warm Winter Wishes.

Day 3 Previews: Holiday Cheer StampTV kit!

Good evening!

This week of previews have been outstanding, haven't they? I've really enjoyed seeing all the design teams' work on the stamp sets so far and can't wait to see what everyone will be sharing tonight! We're showcasing Gina's new Holiday Cheer StampTV kit - and it's fabulous!!

Gina works so hard to include a variety of images in her kits that lend themselves to lots of techniques... and this one is no exception! The kit comes loaded with ribbons and cardstocks - you're going to love it!

I really like this autumn wreath that she included - these fruits are so pretty together and match the new cardstocks so well! lol!

The new Metallic cardstock is luscious... it embossing and punches beautifully and is so rich and sparkly - yummy!!

Look how elegant the wreath is just embossed in gold - and not colored in...

Last but not least is another gift card purse ...

I may decide to make an envelope for this card, but I really liked the red balloons with this gorgeous green cardstock. See that medallion? That's from the sentiment stamp set included in this new STV kit... I LOVE it and love that it has sentiments that work for all occasions, not just Christmas!

You'll want to head over to GinaK's blog to add your comment to her blog entry for a chance to win the new StampTV kit being previewed tonight our blogs! Then, check into StampTV for a new video technique with an image from the new StampTV kit!

Day 2 Previews: Melanie and Nina's sets!

Good evening!

My first card was made with Melanie's new Hip to be Square stamp set. It's a large card - 5 1/2" square because Melanie's large grid stamp makes such a great focal image! I decided to stamp the squares on some patterned paper and punched out and layered to look like presents. The sentiment is from Theresa's A Very Merry Christmas set.

My next project is one that Ashley claimed for her own as soon as she saw it...

Isn't that fun? I used the clear box that GinaK's Assortment ribbons will be sold in for this Halloween treat container.

There are lots of possibilities with Melanie's new set - and I'm sure she has a thousand ideas to share with us for it!

Next up is another beautiful set from Nina Brackett called Lord of the Season. The images in her set are so much fun to color and embellish... I really had a hard time putting this set away once I got started with it.

My first project that I'm sharing tonight is a gift card holder ...

It seems that each Christmas I end up giving a lot of gift cards to friends and family - so this little die cut box is a perfect holder! In fact, I've made several of these this month with the different stamp sets being released - so look for some more samples during the Release party on Thursday night! I designed a gift card envelope that fits with the box, but decided not to make one for this set because this card seemed to match so well.

Isn't that an adorable tree? It's actually a topiary that I cut apart since that was too large of an image for my box. This image also has some ornaments on the tree, but since I used Flower Soft, the fluffy texture hid the details of the original image.

Finally, here's a card showing Nina's beautiful artwork...

Isn't that a pretty image? It's so delicate and pretty and was really fun to color.

Now, head over to GinaK's blog to add your comment to her blog entry for a chance to win the new stamp sets being previewed tonight our blogs!

Preview Day 1: Tami and Theresa's sets!

Good evening!

GinaK previews have begun! We have tons of new stamps and products being released this Thursday night - it's been fun getting ready for this release and I can't wait to see everyone's samples this week.

Tonight, I'm going to start off by showing our newest Illustrator - Tami Mayberry' Special Delivery and her Special Delivery Add-on stamp sets since I used them both on this card ...

Isn't that fun? There are a lot of possibilities with her coordinating stamp sets - I can't wait to share my other card with her set... but that will have to wait until Thursday night's release party..

Here's the inside of this card...

And, here's a quick treat pouch I made with the medium sized pillow box that we will be adding to Gina's store on Thursday. There will be 3 sizes - small, medium and large! Perfect for gift giving - I know I'm looking forward to playing more with them.

I stamped the hearts from Tami's set in pink Stazon and set aside to dry. Then, I stamped the two hearts on GinaK's white cardstock and punched out with EK Success' medium heart punch - look at what a perfect fit it is for that punch! I layered it on pink cardstock and trimmed around for a small bordered edge.

The nuggets are wrapped in a 1" x 3" strip of cardstock and then taped to a piece of cardstock that I slipped into the pillow box. Super quick and easy - I love sweet little gifts like these, don't you?

Next up is Theresa's GORGEOUS Christmas set called A Very Merry Christmas. The images in Theresa's set are so elegant that I decided to forgo coloring and emboss the images with some Detail Gold embossing powder.

Christmas cards need to be quick for me because I make so many of them - so this layout and design is perfect for my needs... in fact, this may be one of my Christmas cards this year! I had the hardest time getting a decent photo of this card - so I hope you can see the texture of this new All Spruced Up linen cardstock being added to GinaK's Pure Luxury line. I LOVE this color and the texture... it's so rich and Christmas-y to me!

and the inside...

I made a coordinating gift tag with the same supplies as the card above. I love it when things coordinate and the best way I've found to coordinate things is to do it all at once - lol! Otherwise, when the times comes to give the card/gift ... I'm too lazy to dig through my supplies to make a tag match!

It's all ready to be tied onto a gift bag for a Christmas gift!

Are you ready for lots more eye candy tonight? Start by checking in on GinaK's blog to add your comment to her blog entry for a chance to win the new stamp sets being previewed tonight our blogs!

Cherry Treats!

Good evening!

I have been working all day on my preview projects for GinaK's release and am taking a quick break to check in with everyone online. My projects are all finished and photographed, all I've got to do now is get the photos all edited and uploaded to my blog for a full week of fun Christmas and autumn projects! I'm so excited to share the cards and 3D projects but, that will have to wait until tomorrow night...

So, until then - I have this fun Penny Black card to share with you tonight. Once again, it's a card with some mice ... these mice are so cute, but I know if I saw one in real life in my kitchen - I wouldn't think they were so cute!!

I love this sketch... you'll probably be seeing it again sometime soon for a challenge over on StampTV or PaperCraft Planet! I applied a layer of Crystal lacquer to the cherries to really make them shine.

The inside has a sentiment from Hero Arts and another adorable mouse. The stars are all glittery from a yellow Sakura glitter pen - but it's a little hard to see in this photo...

Check back in tomorrow night at 10pm CST for lots of cards from GinaK's design team! We're starting the previews with a beautiful Christmas set from Theresa Momber and Tami Mayberry's first GinaK Designs stamp sets!

I have you in my Heart

Happy Friday!

We just got home from my son's soccer game, so my blog post is going up a little later than I wanted it too... but, they won the game, so it's all good, I guess!

As you have seen on my blog this week, I LOVE Penny Black's cutesy images! I combined several sets that I have in my collection for this card - putting as many hedgehogs with hearts as I could find. I punched out 6 squares and stamped the images in different spots on the squares and layered them all together to make this fun card (5 1/2" square):

Isn't that fun? Here's another view so you can see the glitter pen and crystal lacquer on the hearts...

The inside has another hedgehog, this time blowing heart bubbles...

Here's another closer look at this adorable little guy...

Have a wonderful rest of your night! I'll be back tomorrow night with yet another Penny Black card to share with you - then, on Sunday night GinaK's Previews begin!! I'm anticipating a weekend full of stamping with new stamps and products... I can't wait to share them all with you!

Birthday Mice

Happy Thursday!

I have another Penny Black card this afternoon for you - more cute little mice images! These little guys carrying birthday gifts make me smile... aren't they cute?

Here's a closeup of the focal image so you can see the coloring and shine a little better...

That little mouse floating away with the birthday balloon is just TOO cute, isn't he?

When I use brads on the front of my card, I like to cover the brad 'prongs' on the inside of the card with a sheet of paper like this:

It finishes off the inside nicely, don't you think? And, just because this image is so cute too - I had to show a larger view of it too...

Have a great rest of your day!
Jessica

Mice Hugs

Good afternoon!

I have a bright, colorful card to share with you tonight that I made this weekend with some more mice images from Penny Black. They were so much fun to color with my Copics and embellish with some colored Stickles!

The flower dies are from Sizzix and are exclusive to Stampin Up. These flowers were in my scrap box - so they came in handy when I was looking for embellishments for the card!

Have a great rest of your night!

ThankYou Mice

Good evening!

Tonight's card is one that I made over the weekend for my mother-in-law. We went shopping on Saturday looking for some towels to match her new shower curtain and we decided on these pretty blue towels - that look a lot like this blue Basic Grey Marakkeh paper - isn't it a pretty shade?

We all went out for lunch together too and grandma footed the bill, so this card is a thankyou one for her! I pulled out these adorable Penny Black stamps and colored them with Copics. The little mouse on the rim of the saucer is popped up.

The inside has another cute little mouse in it...

Look at how sparkly he is...

The sentiments are some clear stamps from Hero Arts and Heidi Grace.

Have a great rest of your evening!
Jessica
