Shimmery Copic Flowers

Good morning!

Are you in love with Melanie's new floral stamp set Arranged with Love as much as I am!? I'm telling you this gorgeous large image makes such quick and elegant cards. I stamped the image in Black Memento ink onto SU's Shimmery White cardstock and colored everything in with Copics.

The colors are so vibrant and pretty. The shimmer is subtle, but maybe this photo shows it off better. Remember you can click on my photos to make them appear larger..

Have a wonderful rest of your day - thanks for checking in with me!

Mountain Scene

Good morning!

Just a quick post today showing off a card I made with Theresa's gorgeous new Happy Camper stamp set. I went simple with this one - choosing to color the scene with Copic markers.

The crackle background is from Gina's Elegant Flowers stamp set and I think it works well with Theresa's gorgeous mountains.

Have a wonderful rest of your day!

Flower Bed...

Good morning!

Today's card is a busy one - all made with flowers from Nina's new Bug Me Anytime stamp set along with another piece of her Bug Me Anytime digital paper.

I stamped the flowers on SU's textured Rose Red and Regal Rose cardstocks in black versafine ink and clear embossed them to help them pop against the textured cardstock. I cut and/or punched out the flowers and layered them together with dimensional popdots between them.

Then, I took some ribbon and glue dots and added the stems and leaves. The centers of the flowers are SU's rose red buttons. The sentiment fit Marvy's Yellow rectangle punch perfectly - isn't that fun!?

To finish it off, I punched out a picket fence with Martha Stewart's border punch.

When I took this photo, I hadn't decorated the inside of my card yet... Do you finish off the insides of your cards? I love it when I do and find that I feel better giving my cards away when it's pretty inside. I'll have to do that before I add it to my Etsy shop!

Thanks for stopping by today! See you tomorrow with some more release party cards!

Rupa Sheve's 100% Sweet Cards

Rupa Shevde is a great friend of mine - aren't I lucky!? She brought some cards she made with her brand new set 100% Sweet into the store this week and asked if I would take some photos of them and share her cards for her during Gina's Release Party. So, of course, I said YES - and here they are!

This first card is fun - it's spinner card!

She used Crystal lacquer and stickles to make the frosting on the cupcakes look good enough to eat!

Next, is this soothing - but YUMMY Icecream Sundae...

Check out the Crystal lacquer hot fudge! Yummy!

Rupa's next card is my favorite out of all that she brought because I LOVE these soft colors - isn't her card so pretty?

The icecream cone is so soft and delicate and there is chocolate flock on the dripping fudge topping!

How about some yummy Cheesecake?

Here's a close up so you can see the acetate window and the cherry glaze of Rupa's cheesecake..

Last but certainly not least is this adorable card...

I love Rupa's icecream on this card - looks like peach and strawberry to me!

Thanks for checking with me today - I am so honored to share Rupa's cards with you all today! Judging by the amount of orders for Rupa's 100% Sweet Stamp set - I KNOW we'll be seeing lots more sweet treats in our StampTV gallery soon!

Friend's House

Good morning!

Wasn't last night's party fun!? All the samples were great and the chatter was fun as always! This morning I thought I'd share a card that I made with Asela's The Journey stamp set. I love this image and had so much fun coloring it with Copics.

I used more of Nina's Bug Me Anytime digital papers to decorate the card and chose Copic markers to match for the image. I wanted the scene to pop a little more, so I popped up the steps and the flower pots on the porch. The greenery in the pots are embellished with Doodlebug's glitters and the Quickie glue pen.

Thanks for checking in with me today! I'll have another post tomorrow with some of Gina's new stamp sets released last night.

The Journey and Many Wishes...

Good morning!

Well, tonight is the night!! The preview party starts at 7:00 pm CST over in Gina's Forum on SCS. I hope you'll be able to join us for TONS of cards and eyecandy from both Gina's Senior Design Team members and our CenterStage Spotlight Design Team! We'll all so excited to share more projects with you all there! I'll be sharing the rest of my cards that I've made with the new stamp sets over the next week or so on my blog as well.

My first card tonight is made with Asela Hopkin's new stamp set called The Journey. The images in this stamp set are beautiful and just begging to be colored with Copics - or whatever coloring tools you prefer. I stamped the truck in Black Versafine ink and embossed with Clear embossing powder and then colored it in with Copics.

I cut the image out with a Nestability die and free hand cut the 1/8" border around the entire image. I am becoming addicted to using Black cardstock for matting my papers. I think it really helps the images and colors pop!

I tried something a little different with my hardware label. I punched out a piece of patterned paper and glued it behind the label. Then, I covered the entire metal label with a thick layer of Crystal Lacquer and sprinkled some blue seed beads in the corners and added a "F" keyboard letter to highlight the friendship sentiment I included in the focal image.

I wasn't sure about this card, but it must be an okay card because my husband was pretty impressed and loved my card. He's a tough sell - several of the cards I made with the new stamps didn't make his 'cut' ... lol! But, this one did.

He always tells me that he knows I don't want him to be my 'yes' man by telling me all my projects are fabulous... Yeah, right! Of course, I want him to love everything I make! lol! Actually, I value his opinion, but I know that he's a man and doesn't always have the same taste as we women do when it comes to cards... lol!!!

But, it was nice to hear that he like it because he wasn't too crazy about one of the other cards I'm sharing tonight. In case you're wondering which one, it's the shaker card I made with Gina's free stamp set that you'll see as you continue to read my blog post. But, don't be too hard on him, remember my blog post here? See, he's really a good guy! lol!

Anyway, here's the inside of the card...

I have one more card to share with Asela's The Journey stamp set and this time I paired it with some of Nina Bracket's Bug Me Anytime digital papers...

I love the bright colors of this paper pack!! I stamped the chair and sentiment on GinaK's Pure Luxury Cardstock and colored everything with copics. After cutting the main image out with a Nestability die, I again free hand cut the Chocolate mat around it. Then, I took my chalks and shaded the sky a soft blue...

Of course I had to add some glitter, so I used my Quickie Glue pen, traced some of the blades of grass and sprinkled Doodlebug's Green glitters over the glue lines. A few buttons, some twine and Punch Bunch Leaf spring punchouts finished the cardfront off!

Look closely and you can see that I added the new Copper nailheads that Gina will be adding to her store tonight onto the chair. I love those things!

Here's the inside of the card - I was thinking this could be a great card for friend who has had a rough time of it lately 0r even a retirement card... what do you think?

The inside sentiment is from Rupa's 100% Sweet stamp set and worked perfectly with this card!

Finally, we are on to Gina's new Free with Three stamp set for this release called Many Wishes. I love the versatility of this set and thought it would make a fun shaker card...

That's Nina's Bug Me Anytime digital papers again - can you tell how much I love them! I stamped the flowers on white cardstock and punched them out with some scallop circle punches that fit the blossoms - I LOVE it when that works out! Then, I used a variety of pearls and rhinestones to highlight the scallops on the pink cardstock.

For the shaker, I stamped the sentiment in Black Stazon onto Acetate and the flowers in white cardstock layered behind the window. Nestability dies make making shaker cards a breeze!!

I added a variety of pastel seed beads and micro clear beads to the shaker window and glued the entire shaker to the card. The flowers are popped up with dimensional adhesives - I love how they look like they are growing on the card! lol! Shaker cards are so easy to make and so much fun to receive! I've got to make more of them!

Here's the inside of this card...

Now, that you've checked out all my projects for the day hop over to the rest of Gina's Design Team Member's blogs for lots more eyecandy and inspiration this morning!

Arranged with Love and Bug Me Anytime...

Good morning!

Haven't the previews been amazing so far!? Everyone has really outdone themselves with all the gorgeous projects!!

This morning we are sharing two more new stamp sets - the first one I'm previewing on my blog this morning is from Melanie. It's called Arranged with Love and it coordinates perfectly with her other two floral sets, Year of Flowers and Say it with Flowers. The main image is 3 3/4 x 5 - the perfect mat for the front of your card! These cards are the quickest and easiest - but most elegant ones I've made in awhile!

My first card shows how easy it can be to use it with your embossing powder - no coloring necessary! I stamped the entire image (which by the way, it stamps BEAUTIFULLY!!) in Encore Gold ink and embossed with my detail gold embossing powder on GinaK's Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock.

Here's a close up of the embossing - look closely, you can see that I traced around the entire image with my Copic Toner 2 marker. I was thrilled that it didn't smear the embossed lines...

Next up, is a brighter card with the same set -

Doesn't that look like stained glass? I stamped the image in Encore's Copper ink and embossed with copper embossing powder onto vellum. My embossing powder isn't detail, so the lines aren't as crisp as I was hoping for, but it works.

Then, I took my Peerless Watercolors and Niji Waterbrush and painted the entire image on the front side. You could also try painting on the back of it - the colors would be a little softer. It warped the vellum a little, but after I was finished I glued the entire panel onto a piece of Pure Luxury White Layering Weight cardstock and that seemed to help smooth it out a little. It's important to layer the vellum over white cardstock to help the colors shine through...

I have been drooling over this set of Melanie's since last summer, so I'm thrilled that it's finally in Rubber and in my stamp room! The sentiments she has included are so elegant and will fit almost every occasion you can think of.

Next, is an adorable new stamp set from Nina Bracket called Bug Me Anytime. The best thing about this stamp set from Nina is that there are two perfect new digital papers that coordinate with it!!! I am IN LOVE with these digital papers - you'll be seeing more of them on my cards tomorrow and the ones I'm saving for Gina's Release party on Thursday night.

I stamped all the images in Black Memento ink on White linen cardstock and colored with copics. As you can see, there is lots of dimension going on because I popped up and layered each of the images to really make these adorable bugs come to life...

To highlight the black dots, after everything was glued to my card, I took my Sakura Black glaze pen and colored over the dots. That pen is amazing because it dries shiny like Crystal Lacquer but takes minutes to dry and adds no additional bulk to the images. I also added some Fruit Punch and Star Dust stickles to a few areas on the butterfly and snail...

So, are you ready for even MORE previews! Be sure to check out Gina's other Design Team member's blogs today for lots more inspiration:

Sweet Treats & Outdoor Fun!

Good morning!

The previews for GinaK Designs' June Release have begun! My first couple of cards are showcasing Rupa's new stamp set called 100% Sweet. The set is filled with sweet images that are so much fun to color and embellish! See what I mean...

I colored the images with Copic markers and popped up the cone and the icing to make them a little more 3Dimensional. The icecream and frosting have a layer of Crystal Lacquer on them.

Here's the inside - I love the sentiments that come in this stamp set...

Isn't that fun!?

Next up is more of that adorable icecream cone - this time enough to share with friends...

And, a close up of the cones so you can see the stickles, StarDust Glitter Pen, and Crystal Lacquer added to the icecream...

And the inside..

I made the 'medallion' by using a 1" circle punch for the sentiment and layered it with a 1 1/8" circle punchout. Then, I popped up the circle and layered it on the Marvy 1 1/2" scallop circle punch (the yellow one).

The second stamp set we are showing off today, is Theresa's newest stamp set called Happy Camper. It has gorgeous outdoor images that Theresa drew herself! She is such an amazing artist!

I stamped these images on Gina's new Pure Luxury cardstock she is adding this month called Soft Sand. It is the perfect neutral! Gina showcased the cardstock and the copper nailheads that I used here on this card on her blog yesterday, so be sure to check that post for lots of fun things she is adding to her store this month if you missed it.

After stamping the images in Black Memento ink, I colored everything in with Koh-i-noor pencils and shaded with Odorless Mineral Spirits and my blending stumps. The OMS seemed to fade the black ink (I probably should have used Stazon) so I ended up going over all the stamp lines with a fine point black pen to sharpen the images up a little bit.

I used Stampin Up's River Rock and True Thyme Inks and my sponge daubers to shade the edges of the focal point.

And the inside view...

The rest of Gina's Design Team have preview projects to share with us today too! Be sure to check out all these links for lots more eyecandy this morning:

Gina, Carolyn, Cathy, Cindy, Donna, Emily, Erika, Joanne , Kurtis, Lee, Lynn, Melanie, and Theresa

We are also thrilled to have a couple of our CenterStage Spotlight Design Team join us in our previews this morning: Carolina Buchting and Jennie Harper

Have fun checking out all the previews and check back in tomorrow when we showcase Melanies and Nina Bracket's new stamp sets!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day!!

We've had a quiet day today - letting Brad do what he loves the most... watching Nascar and Formula One racing uninterrupted and getting a nap. I'm just about to get supper started, but thought I'd pop in quick and share a few fun things that we recently added to 'family.'

First, up is Brad's Father's Day gift - a Garmin Edge 705 GPS for his Bicycle! He has been eyeing this baby for awhile now, so when the two of us got away for a trip to Milwaukee together on Friday, I bought it for him at one of the Bicycle shops we stopped at...
I'm so glad that we found it and got a fairly good deal on it! He's such a great guy and I'm so thankful that he's my kid's father. They definitely have a great dad!!

And, if there is any doubt about how great he is, check these next photos out...

Yep, that's my Copic marker collection! Can you tell it's grown a little from the last time? We stopped at Creative Pals in Milwaukee and I bought a couple of more markers there on Friday. The kids had a playdate/sleepover scheduled, so we headed out for a day trip and hit some stores in Milwaukee and even ate at the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. Yummy! Of course, we brought some cheesecake home and have been enjoying that yummy goodness for desserts! You have to savor those treats, so we try to see whose piece can last the longest! lol!

I decided that my longaberger lazy susan basket wasn't good enough for all my markers, because I wanted to sort them by color family and that wasn't really do-able in it. So, I stopped at Michaels on Saturday and picked up this Making Memories lazy susan that I've been eyeing for months now.

I love it! I have my Copic grey markers in my longaberger basket in the dividers that came with it. The drawers underneath are really small, so I put little odds and ends in them. The middle section is really deep, so I put a couple of layers of bubble wrap and some chipboard to raise it up above the other sections. Then, I cut another piece of chipboard to divide the reds and purples in the middle. I think you can see it better in this photo...

Any husband that lets his wife buy Copic markers whenever she wants is a GEM, right!? He teases me all the time about how I'm a 'certified' colorer... so I have to have as many colors as I can get for my 'degree' - right!? lol!

Previews for the new GinaK Designs stamps starts tomorrow! I've been working all weekend on the cards and photos of them and can't wait to share everything - so please check back then to see all the new projects!!

Have a great day!
Jessica
