With this Ring...

Good morning!

I have some more new release stamp projects to share today that I was going to share during Gina's party but couldn't since I wasn't able to attend! They are both made with Rupa's beautiful new With this Ring stamp set. I had so much fun using the images from the stamp set - they are all so perfect for weddings and anniversaries.

My first card shows how well the Marvy Scallop Heart punches work with Rupa's Floral Wreath. I used both the blue and yellow punches for this layered look. The paper is from Stampin' Up's Rockability paper pack.

Here's the inside view...

Next up is a card I made with my parent's upcoming anniversary in mind...

My mom had yellow roses at their wedding and seriously these wedding rings remind me of my parent's rings. Especially my mom's - hers has a ring with etched stars in the center of it just like Rupa's image!

Everything on both cards were colored with Copics after stamping in Black Versafine ink on GinaK's Pure Luxury cardstock. I embossed the ink with detail clear embossing powder. This extra step really adds to the elegance of the set - I love embossing with wedding cards.

Here's the inside view...

As you can see, I used the plain and scallop heart nestabilities for the insides of both of these cards. It took just a little extra time to finish the cards off but really adds to them, doesn't it?

Have a wonderful rest of your day!

Summer Flowers

Happy Saturday!

My first card was made with Rupa's beautiful new With this Ring stamp set. I paired it with some Stampin Up cardstock for a modern look. Everything was colored with Copic markers. I forgot to include the photo of the inside of the card, but it's similar to my other With this Ring cards I shared a few days ago during the Previews here on my blog.

This next card shows off some of the daisies that are found in the Eclectic Summer StampTV kit along with the Ribbon Stripes checkered background. When looking at this photo, I realized my strip of rust cardstock was crooked, so I fixed it. Oops! So, just imagine that it's straight... lol!

Here's a closer look at those gorgeous daisies...

I stamped them in Black Stazon and paper pieced the centers by stamping on Mustard paper and punching out the circles with a 3/4" circle punch (I think. I'm not at my desk right now to check but it was either a 3/4" or a 5/8" punch.) Since I used Stazon, I couldn't color the images with Copics, so I used some stickles to embellish them instead.

Have a great weekend!

Hot Air Balloons...

Good morning!

Have you been shopping at GinaK's yet? I'm sure we'll be super busy today processing and packaging orders from all you busy shoppers! It's always fun seeing what everyone has bought. This morning I decided to show off a few more cards that I made with Gina's new Eclectic Summer StampTV kit... I LOVE the stamps in this kit!!

My first card I already shared with you, but I wanted to include it in this post so you could see the different take on the hot air balloon and cardstocks with this card...

As you can see, it's basically the same card, but much simpler. I colored the balloon with Koh-i-noor pencils, OMS, and blending stumps and then added a thick layer of Crystal Lacquer over the entire image. Then, I added it to the sponged background with popdot dimensionals. The mustard background paper was run through my BigShot with a Quickutz embossing folder.

Here's a close up of the balloon...

Have a great rest of your day and enjoy the weekend!

Day 4: Ribbons and Free Stamp of the Month!

Welcome to the final day of previews for GinaK's May release! Rest up - the party is tonight over in her Forum on Splitcoast Stampers. Unfortunately I won't be able to be there as my kids have their end of the year school program, but I know there will be lots of fun chatter and card samples to see! I've made several more cards that I was going to share during the release party, but I'll probably end up saving them and sharing them over the next week on my blog and over at StampTV.

My first couple of cards today are showing off Gina's new Free with Three stamp set called Lazy Days of Summer. I LOVE each of the images in this set and know you will too! I couldn't stop playing with this set... and can't wait to get it inky again soon! lol!

I used some Basic Grey Bittersweet papers and embellishments for this card along with a couple of Petaloo flowers. The images were stamped on White linen cardstock and embossed with clear embossing powder and then colored with Copic markers. I added some Crystal Lacquer and Diamond stickles to the ice cream for some added sparkle.

Here's the inside view...

Next up is an adorable sand bucket that is begged to be colored and blinged up a little...

Here's a close up view of the sparkle the image has because after coloring it with Copic markers, I highlighted the image with some Sakura Glitter pens and Crystal Lacquer...

Isn't that fun? I used Basic Grey's Lime Rickey patterned papers - which Gina will be adding to her online store later tonight. She has included some of these fun papers in her new StampTV Eclectic Summer kit too! The cardbase is her new In the Navy cardstock... I LOVE it!

Next up is another card showing off another few images from the Lazy Days of Summer stamp set along with another new GinaK stamp set called Ribbon Stripes. The sentiments are from Nina's new Special Father stamp set...

I stamped the little stars from the Ribbon Stripes set on a sheet of Summer Fabrics digital paper printed out an GinaK Pure Luxury 80lb. white cardstock in Red Ladybug Memento ink. Then, using my dauber and the Antique Linen Distress ink, I shabbied it up.

The stars (from the Lazy Days of Summer) were stamped in the same red ink and punched out with the Blue and Yellow Marvy star punches. Then, I shaded them with the distress ink too. For an even more home-made feel, I took my Rich Cocoa Memento marker and traced along the outer edge of the star and added a few dots and stitch marks here and there all around the stars.

The red cardstock is Gina's gorgeous new Rocket Red paper and I paired it with her Chocolate Kiss cardstock - I love this color scheme!

Here's the links to everyone who is showing off projects with these two stamp sets this morning...

Have a great rest of your day and enjoy all the eyecandy this morning!

Day 3: Eclectic Summer StampTV kit

The long awaited day is finally here: we get to show off the highly anticipated brand new StampTV kit! YAY! Gina is calling her kit, Eclectic Summer and it's complete with 2 stamp sets, fun ribbons & brads as well as Pure Luxury Cardstock in three colors: White, In the Navy, and Red Rocket cardstocks! Aren't those fun names? lol!

I have three cards to share today with the stamps from the new kit and they are all quite an eclectic mix of cards - so you'll see why she's named her kit that way! First up is an anniversary card in honor of my husband Brad and I celebrating our 13th anniversary today...

Isn't that fun? I paired the couple image with a sentiment from Rupa's new With this Ring stamp set (I've been begging for an anniversary sentiment from Gina and am thrilled we have one in this set!) along with the fireworks found in Gina's WhooHoo stamp set. The water is Gina's Navy cardstock torn and layered to make waves. And, check out those buttons... they are Stampin Up buttons, but I stamped them with a new stamp image that we'll be sharing in tomorrow's previews - so you get an early sneak peek!

Next up is this fun summery card showing off some of the patterned papers included in the StampTV kit along with an image from the sentiment set too...

I'm so excited to have this image in my collection! I sponged the background with some Distress Inks and some torn papers - it looks like it has layers of cardstocks, but it's really all GinaK's Pure luxury cardstock and ink! The balloons were colored with copics and then using the Quickie Glue pen and Doodlebug's colored glitters, I got them to sparkle like crazy!

Gina has a great video she uploaded to StampTV last week showing how easy it is to use Colored Glitters to embellish your images.
Finally, my last card shows off some new digital papers that are new to GinaK as well as more of the StampTV kit...

There are actually 3 different digital papers used on this card. The gorgeous green paper is from a new collection designed by Emily Giovanni called Bright Summer Grunge and I LOVE it!! The colors and patterns are so fun and perfect for summer!

The orange papers that I used for the focal image mat and to paper piece the butterflies (which by the way are SO adorable, aren't they!?) are from the new Sunlit Summer digital papers which is part of my Fun with Glitters Online StampTV class.

And finally, the purple paper is from Gina's Summer Fabrics digital papers. This paper is so cool - it's actually designed to be printed on GinaK's Pure Luxury White cardstock and then colored with Copics or shaded with inks to appear like fabric. I used some Purple Distress inks to shade the paper and loved how it turned out. It will be fun experimenting more with this paper.

There's lots of fun stuff going on today - more sneak peeks to check out as well as some new videos on StampTV to tune in to see. Gina will be explaining more about her StampTV - so be sure to tune in and hear it all from her!

See you tomorrow morning for one last day of previews before the Release Party!

Day 2: Weddings and Fathers...

Good morning!

Weren't yesterday's projects amazing!? I always love seeing what everyone comes up with during these previews... the talent on Gina's team is simply breath-taking, isn't it?! I can't wait to see what all of you - our loyal GinaK Followers will come up with when YOU get these new stamps and start sharing your works of art with us on StampTV and Splitcoast. I get so inspired seeing everyone's work - don't you?

We have two new stamp sets that we're showing off today and first up with one of my favorite wedding sets I've ever seen called With this Ring from Rupa Shevde...

I used Kaiser Kraft's Black Pearls to highlight the main image. Here's a close up of those wedding bells - you can always click on my photos to make them appear larger for an even closer look ...

Here's the inside view - decorated with the Scallop and Plain Heart Nestabilities...

I may not be able to be at the whole release party on Thursday night, so I'm going to share one more card I made with Rupa's stamp set. Plus, I just love this stamp image and wanted to show it to you...

Is that a beautiful wedding cake, or what!? Everything I'm sharing with you today was colored with Copic Markers on GinaK's Pure Luxury white cardstock, by the way.

Here's the inside view of the card...

Now, next up is a brand new stamp set from a brand new Illustrator for GinaK Designs: Nina Bracket! We are thrilled to have her join the team! She is a genious digital artist and has designed an amazing Father's Day set for us this month called Special Father. There is a matching Digital Paper pack that will be available from Nina that coordinates perfectly with her stamp set too!!

Her style is similar in some ways to Rupa's and when I saw this image in Nina's new set I HAD to pair it up with one of my favorite images from Rupa's Guiding Light stamp set to make this card...

Don't they look like they belong together? This is a scene stamp - everything is all in place, so you just ink it up and go. I LOVE those kinds of images and hope we'll see more of them from Nina, don't you?

I stamped the image in Memento ink and then stamped Rupa's Lighthouse image to the bottom right hand side of Nina's scene. No masking, no Stamp-a-ma-jig... I just eyeballed it - and thankfully it turned out just where I wanted it. I love it when that happens - and it doesn't always, trust me! lol!

Here's a little closer view of the scene...

Did you catch the cardbase? It's Gina's new NAVY cardstock that will be available both in the StampTV kit (which we'll be previewing TOMORROW!!) as well as in packages of 25 sheets. This cardstock is perfect! It's the thickness that we've come to expect from GinaK's Pure Luxury cardstock line. She's also releasing RED cardstock too - have you heard? lol!

Here's all the links to the eyecandy from GinaK's team this morning:

Happy Blog hopping and we'll see you back here tomorrow morning with the new StampTV kit's previews!!

Hip Hip Hooray! The Previews have begun!

Are you as excited as I am about new stamps - and other things from GinaK Designs? I'm thrilled with everything this month and can't wait to show off all the new stamp sets we'll be releasing along with ink pads and cardstocks .... not to mention a brand new StampTV kit!

Tonight we're starting off with Melanie's newest stamp set called Sporty Accessories and it's perfect for any sports enthusiasts - or anyone, for that matter. Thus, my first card today...

When I saw these images, I thought what a fun get well card this could make for a girlfriend. It's a little nontraditional, yes, but is sure to put a smile on someone who is feeling under the weather, don't you think?

Here's the full card...

Next up is a card for a boy. I was thinking of someone trying out for a team or even a card to give to a teenager who is dealing with issues with school or teenage stuff... (ugh - remember those days!?)

I love those sneakers!! They were so fun to color and I can tell that they'll be used a lot for many different occasions. I kept the card simple because I really wanted the sneakers to shine through as the focal point. I colored the sneakers with Copics and Sakura Glitter pens and then covered the entire image with a layer of Crystal Lacquer. It just pops!

Be sure to take the time to check out everyone else's blogs to see all the fabulous projects they've made with Melanie's stamp sets...

It's a Great Day for a Picnic!

Good morning!

The sun is shining and the weather is gorgeous this morning!! I was going to share my sketch challenge card with you this morning, but I decided to share this picnic card in honor of all the holiday picnics everyone will be having this weekend!

The image is a Sarah Kay stamp that I bought through 7Kids College Fund awhile back. I paired it with Basic Grey's Two Scoops papers and buttons along with the Curvy Rectangle Nestabilites. Everything was colored with Copic markers to match the patterned papers.

Have a great day - hope some yummy picnic food is in your future this weekend!! lol!

Lemonade Wishes...

Happy Memorial Day weekend!

Today's card is a summery one - filled with bright shades of yellow... I wish we had the bright yellow sun shining outside today! Hopefully the rain will be moving through soon - my daughter is dying to go to the zoo! It's the first thing she wanted to do once school was out.

This card is one I made a while ago following a couple of StampTV challenges: color and sketch. All the challenges are archived, so you can reference them if you are in need of some inspiration. I'm the hostess for this week's sketch challenge - I'll share the card and sketch tomorrow here on my blog.

Have you had a chance to play along with our challenges? We have 5 new challenges each week - and the winners all receive a free stamp set! Since the new release is right around the corner, I'm sure everyone would love to win a free GinaK stamp set. Jump in and play along with us - the talent is amazing over on StampTV!!

The stamps I used on my card are from GinaK's You are My Sunshine and Simple Pleasures sets.

Be sure to check out Gina's Blog - she's starting to share one stamp image from each new Release stamp set!! I've been having so much fun stamping with the new sets and can't wait to share some of my projects with everyone!!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Birthday Birds

Good morning!

I have another Home Tweet Home card to share today. This time I paired the images from Rupa's stamp set with Asela's flowers from her Friendship's Garden stamp set. Aren't they pretty together?

I cut a large Sizzix Scallop circle out of white linen paper and colored everything with Copic markers. For my clouds, I punched out a scallop oval & scallop circle punch and used some Pebbles Pearlescent Chalks and the pompoms that are included in the chalks.

I start towards the bottom of the panel and working my upward and around the images, I alternate between the oval and circle scallop punchouts adding blue chalk where it looks like it needs it.

Here's a closer view of the main image...

Have a great rest of your day!

Happy Bird-day!

A quick note about my next Online class through Stamp TV - the material list has been added to the Classes tab. Here's a preview of the 3 cards that are in the classes this time...

Good morning! It's a gorgeous day here in Stoughton today - full of sunshine and warm temperatures.

We've been enjoying having our windows open during work lately and there are the loudest birds chirping in some nearby trees. What a glorious sound, isn't it? The only time I don't like to hear birds is in the early mornings when I'm trying to sleep... but otherwise - sing away! lol!

The bird on my card today is singing a happy birthday song...

I went with a vintage feeling for my card today - lots of buttons, pearls and soft colors. The images are from Rupa's Home Tweet Home stamp set. Everything was colored with Copics and the sky was shaded with chalks & some scallop punches. I added some stickles for sparkle...

I forgot to get a photo of the inside of the card - oops!

Gina has two new StampTV videos up today - so be sure to pop over there and check them out! She has some awesome projects made with wax paper, a brayer & ink & a cuttlebug embossing folders - interesting combination of products, huh?! It's so cool - and so much fun to watch!

Have a great rest of your day - I hope the sun is shining where you are!!

When's Lunch!?

Good morning!

Every morning when Gina comes into work, she asks Shelly and I - "When's lunch!?" It's pretty comical because she starts asking at 9:30 in the morning so we usually end up eating lunch by 11:30!

We're used to eating so early because Gina suggests lunch so many times in the morning that we're starving by noon - lol!

My card was made with a recent sketch I shared over on StampTV - it's a fun one that allows you to use lots of patterned papers.

The sandwich is from Gina's stamp set called My Tailgate or Yours and the sentiments are from Rupa's King of the Grill and Gina's Punchy Words and You are my Sunshine. I really like how these sentiments worked together...

The inside sentiments are from Gina's Simple Pleasures stamp set. All the papers and embellishments are from Basic Grey's Mellow and Offbeat collections.

Enjoy YOUR lunch today! lol!

Simple Seagull

Good morning!

We're all moving a little slowly this Monday morning - but are thrilled that today is the last Monday of school for the school year. I don't know who's more excited Mom or the kids! lol!

Today's card is a simple one - made to let the beautiful stamps speak for themselves...

Once again, I paired Gina's Not Forgotten stamp set and Rupa's Guiding Light stamps to make this thinking of you card. I think this sentiment is perfect for any one in our lives that are going through a difficult time... and I'm sad to say that I know several people who are in just those situations right now.

I'm so glad I have this beautiful sentiment - and others like them in this stamp set for just such situations. Everything was colored with Copics on white linen cardstock. The clouds were made with a scallop circle punch and chalks.

Have a wonderful day!

Thoughts of you...

Today's card showcases two of GinaK's must have stamp sets from this past month's release: Not Forgotten and Guiding Light. They work so well together, I think.

I stamped the images in Black Versafine ink on White linen paper and used detail clear embossing powder. The images were colored with Copics and the sky was shaded with Chalks and a scallop circle punch used for the cloud shape. Stickles finished up the main image with some sparkle.

Here's the inside view...

Enjoy the rest of your day - and thanks for stopping by!
